The NWAC calendar through Thursday doesn't reveal the new single...I am sure we are all getting anxious to hear it....

I don't want to hear anything until the album comes out either (though a single is good promotion for the casual fan). I think that is one of the things that ruined Dirty Diamonds for me to a degree. I had heard almost every track on Alice's show and I thought the songs were very average. I bought the album the day it came out as I do Alice albums, but I have never had a deep affection for Dirty Diamonds.

I usually don't like "spoilers" but I simply can't resist a sneak preview!
With "Dirty Diamonds" I had heard two of the songs online. And at the Montreux show I still hadn't heard the album (!) well I couldn't find it here
They were selling the album at the venue but I couldn't get one because I had no cash left... grrr.
But I was very glad to know the songs when I heard them at the show, I could at least partly sing along.

Swinger, have you tried to listen it on www.rockdukender.dk?
That's where I listen to it =)

Perhaps ONE single and then nothing more until the album comes out.
What killed Dirty Diamonds for me was that when the product was either leaked or released thru the new west site so there was nothing left...no more surprises.
DD was a safe, meat and potatoes album. I'm hoping ACAS will be 10x better.

Not sure I know what you mean other than the two e-cards and what not. Of course no one forces you to listen to that stuff either.MacQueen wrote:What killed Dirty Diamonds for me was that when the product was either leaked or released thru the new west site so there was nothing left...no more surprises.

I agree, I want the first time I hear anything from the album is when I first play it. I don't want to give into my urges and do it before I'm ready. I want the first time to be special....Shoesalesman wrote:Not me. I'm avoiding ANY audio until the album comes out.
....wait, what were we talking about again?
I know there was a site from New West that allowed you to listen to DD in it's entirety back in 2005. I read about it in bravewords.com and blabbermouth.WickedYoungMan wrote:Not sure I know what you mean other than the two e-cards and what not. But that's the past.
