Detroit Muscle Tour with Ace
Does anyone have the set list yet?
Re: Detroit Muscle Tour with Ace
I hope to hell Detroit City will get a shout, would be daft not to but you never know these days. He could go far out and do a cut down version of I love America as well
Re: Detroit Muscle Tour with Ace
So who has gotten their tickets so far? I'll be honest, I'm feeling a little iffy with the prices (specifically Milwaukee). I love Alice and the band, I go whenever I can, but I'm having a hard time stomaching $120 - $140 USD + fees for decent seats. I understand that's where the industry is currently at and I'm sure I'll still go, but I decided I might as well wait until closer to the show. Anyone else feeling the same way?
Re: Detroit Muscle Tour with Ace
I got a pair for $150.00 each for the Long Island show 9/22/21.
11th row...yeah the pricing is a bit high but how many more times will Alice tour y'know?
Detroit Stories, IMO stinks but he wont focus on this entire record live...

I'm with ya, the album is very poor to average but with any luck his tour will be as kick ass as his last one! thats the best setlist i think he has ever done (for my money) - why there is no live blu ray from that tour is still beyond me.
As long as the track he plays is either wonderful world or social debris you will be ok
$150 notes is very expensive but if it works for you thats all that matters.

Re: Detroit Muscle Tour with Ace
Yeah Social Debris is probably the least annoying song on DS. "I Hate You" has its charm because of the ACG but its not really a song...just an album filler/goof track.
Re: Detroit Muscle Tour with Ace
I'd rather listen to a re-recorded "Battle Axe" album by Alice and the band then listen to these inane songs. Alice has to know these new tunes aren't anywhere near up to par. Who are the yes people nodding their heads saying, "It's great!" and fueling the propaganda that this is actually a good record. I know, I know, "If you don't have anything nice to say..." but Enough's Enough's Enough's Enuff!

#1. How many "New" songs does AC do on ANY tour?Parish wrote: ↑Mon May 24, 2021 8:43 pmI'd rather listen to a re-recorded "Battle Axe" album by Alice and the band then listen to these inane songs. #2. I like the "New" songs w/ACG contribution!
#3. With limited access to Studios & Personnel aren't you being a little too critical?
#4. Write & record your own originals!
Maybe he'll include them on the next "Covers" release!

Re: Detroit Muscle Tour with Ace
I honestly like Detroit Stories and I'm not one of those fans who think everything Alice does is brilliant. In my opinion Special Forces is a terrible album. First Hollywood Vampires record is a total waste of time. Along Came a Spider is a mess and Flush the Fashion while better than three albums I mentioned before is a very uneven release.
I am curious to see what kind of setlist we will get this time. Old Black Eyes is Back tour had my all time favorite setlist as well. It is unfortunate I never witnessed that show personally. It never came to Finland (To my knowledge anyway). It should have been filmed since it was a very theatrical show. I totally agree. I hope this tour comes to Finland. I haven't seen Alice Cooper since 2015. He has extremely solid touring band with tight musicianship and energy. I am ready and eager to see him live whether it is a full-blown theatrical spectacle or more stripped down affair.
He wont be here forever. So lets enjoy the ride as long as it lasts. Alice Cooper you have always been my favorite artist and you still kick ass. I hope to see you in Finland soon.

I have several that Alice would do great and they'd make a fortune for him...Daggers & Contracts wrote: ↑Tue May 25, 2021 1:41 am#4. Exactly! "Battle Axe" was/is a fantastic record and 50 X better than Paranormal or Detroit Stories...Ted Sallis wrote: ↑Tue May 25, 2021 3:03 pm
IMHO this could be an awesome concept; the realization of what another ACG studio album after MOL could have been.

Re: Detroit Muscle Tour with Ace
Given the lack of time to put together a new show and set list, isn’t it most likely to simply be the nightmare castle set and set list?
Almost to the note I guess?
Could be wrong but it seems like such little time to rehearse anything new?

Ok, there's no need to watch your back from D&C.

Wow, I respectfully disagree with most of the views here on the new album. I love it but I have always been able to see past just the original band. In fact, on this album and on Paranormal most of my least favorite songs (though still some good moments) were written by the original band. I think this is a really solid album and still listen to it regularly. Many great songs on here.

I actually forgot another song, "Out With The Boys"
I'll try and upload these somewhere and add the lyrics as I would definitely like your opinion...
Re: Detroit Muscle Tour with Ace
I scored 5th row in Charlotte. If this is anything like the 2019 show in Madison, WI, then I should be in the perfect line of fire for the Billion Dollar bill cannon. I got a bill in 2006, but it has since been lost. I'm hoping to replace it. To me, this is a dream line-up. I demand that the Mustang/Detroit Muscle logo be on a shirt. To anyone sitting on the fence about prices, I feel you. Concerts are ridiculous these days. (My first concert ticket cost $9.50 - period. No surcharge or nothing.) That being said, I'd urge you to think hard about the future. I hate regrets.
