Hey Dennis,

Having taken delivery of the 50th anniversary release, which I think sounds superb on vinyl, I was wondering if you had any stories you'd care to share about the recording of the album?

Thanks

Me too Vince, just got mine last night, great looking album cover, it’s going on my turntable first thing this morning .
Plus…and I think I mentioned this before, any chances of the brilliant “Bones From The Yard” going vinyl Dennis ?

The natives that faintly leaked through during the pause in "Levity Ball" was a recording that I had made from a television broadcast of King Solomon's Mines. We recorded over that but it didn't get fully erased due to the worn heads on our old reel to reel tape recorder. I had recorded a scene in the film because I wanted Neal to record a gigantic drum solo similar to what the natives did in that scene. Decades later, we finally got around to it.

Bones From The Yard on vinyl? Hmmm...

I enjoy PLATINUM GOD, but with You, Mike Bruce, Mike Marconi , Mick Mashbir and "Rockin''" Reggie helping out, Neal's solo album is almost a group album.

You're right, it was like most solo albums where all of the usual suspects lend a hand.

Neal wrote the songs then Marconi, and I helped him develop the whole album. We recorded the songs as a trio, then the others mentioned, and others, added their expertise later.

The main difference is that Alice Cooper created and developed our albums together, even Billion Dollar Babies and Muscle of Love, which Glen helped develop.
