Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023
I thought I had completely given up hope on Alice doing a song with Iggy after Detroit Stories, but apparently not, because hearing the guest list on this one still hurts
Looking forward to it though, the album cover is cool

Fingers crossed that "Magic Bus" is not The Who cover because I don't even like the original.

Why does he need another sequels and covers? :-(lordcatfish wrote: ↑Sat Jun 10, 2023 9:10 amRoad Rats Forever eh? A reworking of the original? A sequel?
Almost all his covers from the last couple of years were boring.

I hope it's not that cover. He has the Hollywood Vampires, he can do with them the bad covers. The son of Don Quijote wrote: ↑Sat Jun 10, 2023 9:20 amFingers crossed that "Magic Bus" is not The Who cover because I don't even like the original.

I'll be very surprised if Magic Bus isn't the Who song.
All Over the World and Baby Please Don't Go could also be covers, although I think it's unlikely and suspect the latter might be one of the two "heartbreakers" Alice has said are on it.

Well everything plays up the written-by-the-tour-band angle so i'm guessing it'll all be original stuff.
Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023
Those aren't covers. Check the writing credits on the album page. I have them all (from the ASCAP site) except three, one of which is 'Magic Bus'.VinceRaven wrote: ↑Sat Jun 10, 2023 10:30 amI'll be very surprised if Magic Bus isn't the Who song.

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023
So the touring band has at least four credits each, with Roxie getting an additional one on the opener.
From googling, K Marcello I assume is Kee Marcello who used to play guitar for Europe. Evan Magness worked with Kane on a few songs for his last solo album, including one Alice sang on. There may be a typo on A Fastade - I think it's Fastader (Anders Fastader worked with Kee Marcello on one of his solo albums, and did some art work for a Casablanca album, featuring Roxie).

That spider at the bottom of the album page is both nasty and naughty!
People try to put us down

The titles and credits alone are giving off a wicked buzz. As much as I love summer, I’m ready for August 25. My poor bank account.
Move aside, mere drop of water - let the ocean pass.
Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023
Just for those of us who have lost track (and because you can never have too much Alice!), what is this track listing missing that we were at one point aware of?
I recall that Alice was writing with Desmond Child and recording with Demi Lovato, and that the plan for album #30 was to record with the original band. Is there anything I missed, or did any of this stuff get released elsewhere?

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023
It's on the album page.
The writing with Child was likely for Child's forthcoming album.
Not sure about recording with Demi. They all went to see her.
The "record with the original band", if it happens, is hush hush at the moment and nothing solid has really been said. *IF* it is happening then its likely it would be 2024 at the earliest and they don't want it to interfere with this new album and confuse people.
Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023
The new song is coming
Get ready to rock with the one and only shock rocker ALICE COOPER!
Mark your calendars for June 14, 2023, as Alice Cooper will unleash his powerful new single "I'm Alice."
This electrifying track serves as the opening anthem for his highly anticipated studio album, "Road," set to be released on August 25, 2023, through earMusic.
And there's more excitement in store as the legendary Bob Ezrin takes the reins as the producer for this album.

Really looking forward to Road!
With the touring band involved, I have a feeling this is going to have a much harder edge than any of his albums since Dragontown. Especially with Nita involved.
I have full confidence there will be a great chemistry throughout too. I just hope Alice and Bob keep the humour witty throughout, with less slapstick. Keep it fun, but aggressive and focused. Hopefully the input from the band will help.
I know it’s still early, but I also can’t wait to see what 2024 has in store. Whether it’s with the ACG or not, I like the fact that the next album will take a completely different tone, in a more creepy vein. Trillion Dollar Babies would be fitting, but would carry very high expectations. Either way, I know they will pull off something incredible.
It’s a great time to be an AC fan!

Is there a link to this single release?
Normally singles/albums drop on Friday's so a bit confused why a single would be released tomorrow and haven't seen much promo for it.
