An all seated Alice Cooper show is as ridiculous as a moshpit at a Genesis concert.

I'll be in Aberdeen and unless tied to the seat by security I'll be standing..no doubt.

seen Alice about 13 times now, 3 of them 'seated". advantage of having a seat is that you don't have to try to look in between two guys before you moving around, or worse, talking to each other the whole show long...
you loose some of the athmosphere but you mostly have a better view at the scene...

This! Just received the last of my tickets for UK shows and they all say 'people around you may stand', or words to that effect. This ain't no Michael Bublé gig!

I was in the same position, but mine arrived on Monday (and someone on Facebook said they got theirs on Saturday), so looks like they're starting to go out now. It is horrible when they leave it so late though... I start to wonder if I did receive it and then misplaced it.

My Aberdeen tickets came through about three weeks ago, earlier than expected so avoided the panic period of the last week or so before the gig.

Tripped over this when checking out the venue for Aberdeen. Brief and a bit random but thought I'd share. About 2:10 - 3:00 into the clip https://youtu.be/QCP6EA6aYu8

This ticket allocation system needs a good kicking , just had a look at the O2 and managed to get a Front Row ticket , A1 for face value direct from AXS !

Awesome night in Aberdeen, lost track of the amount of kind folk wanting my kids photo of my son as Alice and my daughter in her bloody wedding dress and bouquet of roses.

Yes, a great night. Chris White did a great job as well. Hadn't expected to see him but he fitted in well.

Seemed to be an argument before the show started with row A people being less the happy with a row AA in front of them and staff were giving mixed messages which didn't help.

Enjoyed MC50 more than I expected and the Stranglers certainly got the crowd going.

Escape seemed to go down really well this time and the babies were a huge hit with the folk around me. Great show.

I was in block A to the side but on the row behind the disabled and a staff member suggested I get my kids noticed by Alice, then a couple others OK'd the idea so not wanting to block any disabled peoples view twice I tried to get in to the front of the main stage areas for a song and twice i got told to piss off by another member of staff. I get I didnt pay for VIP tickets but when you are being given mixed messages and am just wanting my kids to have the best possible time its a bit annoying. Ended up going right at the end when Nita was filming on her phone but too late by then

Aside form Alice being superb, I thought the MC50 were terrific.

Despite liking a decent chunk of their music over the years, I really couldn't be bothered with The Stranglers last night and found them fairly tedious.

Been to at least one show every tour since special forces and thoroughly enjoyed Aberdeen last night. Not sure why my row B ticket of front block c was the 3rd rather than 2nd row?

And I may have missed it if previously posted but where was Chuck ?

Thanks

Chuck is doing the MegaCruise with Beasto Blanco. Chris Wyse from the Vampires is filling in the rest of the UK dates.

Security seemed to have a few problems with the VIP thing, at least at the beginning. Folk behind us were supposed to be on the backstage tour ticket which was apparently cancelled because security couldn't support it.

Security also didn't realise that the VIPs with the lanyards and tags might be sitting in different rows so one of them decided to move some VIPs up from row D so they could sit next to others she had just seated in row B. She was then totally confused when the real seat B ticket holders who weren't on VIP tickets turned up and demanded their seats.

Security didn't understand the standing arrangements for the front either and initially gave away wristbands on request until they realised their mistake. They then tried to take them off a few folk which didn't go down well before they eventually gave up and had to dig out different wristbands for the last folk arriving who qualified for them.

New venue with first ever music gig so suppose they'd call it teething troubles for security..

Sounds a nightmare, especialy for those that had row B tix. Hope they got to go and stand up at the front instead.

I did think it was a better venue than the Hydro and hope any future dates gey played at the P and J instead. although the monitors at the side of the stage could really do with being shifted so blocks A and D can get a better view. My Mrs went way round the back with my boy so he could see the beheading.

On a side I posted a photo of my kids up on an AC group in FB and Sheryl left a reply so I am going to tell myself (and my kids) she also passed her phone to Alice

I thought the gig itself was superb. It had a great set list. The new stage is a big improvement. The sound in the venue is a big improvement on the Glasgow hydro. I did notice that Alice's gaps offstage are getting longer each tour but I am happy to call that 'good stagecraft'. While the bass playing was fine I did miss chucks presence. Alice was on great form and from the excellent view I had the audience loved it.

Although I’ve seen dozens of Alice shows since 1982, the first at the Glasgow Apollo, the In The Flesh show in '88 and most recent in Aberdeen would take some beating. Got quite emotional hearing My Stars live for the first time, having listened to it so many times as a ten year old back in ’72. One of the joys in travelling to an Alice concert is the virtual certainty that he’ll both show up (never a last minute cancellation due to a sore throat or “illness”) and put on a great performance. Another is knowing that he’s as great a guy off the stage as he is on. When he came back in ‘86 it was a very pleasant shock, but if anyone had told me then that he’d still be doing it 33 years later I’d have handed them Alice’s Certificate of Insanity. Long may you continue Alice, and many thanks for all the great memories to date
