Yea I can't wait to see the setlist. i really don't much care what it will be. It's just gonna be cool to finally see Alice at DTE Theatre.

Re: No More Mr. Nice Guy Tour
Alice talked on the radio show that was posted on here today and he said that the new show will include the "important" theatrics but not as big as the last show and that the songs are "heavier" songs...to compete with the other bands he will be touring with so that makes me feel good...what could be considered "heavier" songs?

"freedom" would be awesome to hear again-and timely given recent events!

Re: No More Mr. Nice Guy Tour
Yeah you just named my favorite song Scotty...I LOVE Freedom...its just a powerful song and the video shows Alice with such command and power throughout...further, it would hopefully mean more songs from RYFAY possibly...but I don't want to get my hopes up lol...

I really like "The World Needs Guts". Haven't heard that one in quite a while.

Re: No More Mr. Nice Guy Tour
Well Karen Hunter (I assume that is Steve's wife) talked very briefly about the rehearsals on Steve's Facebook page and when I asked how the setlist was looking, she responded: "Several rockin'surprises in the setlist"...woo-hoo!!!

Re: No More Mr. Nice Guy Tour
If I were guessing, and I am, I'd guess that we're going to get some rare tunes from the Steve Hunter era of the band.
Here are my guesses:
Escape
Road Rats
Wish You Were Here

Yeah but they are talking about really heavy songs as Alice said in that interview yesterday so to me that would mean more metal-esque songs...especially since he has a few lead guitars this time...but again wishful thinking on my part..

That's a reference to the shows with Def Leppard and the European festivals he's playing....Feezle-Nuts wrote:Makes me wonder who he is touring with.

Those are more uptempo songs.AlongCameASpider27 wrote:Yeah but they are talking about really heavy songs as Alice said in that interview yesterday so to me that would mean more metal-esque songs...especially since he has a few lead guitars this time...but again wishful thinking on my part..
While it would be great to hear some RYFAY tunes, I'm not counting on it.
It just doesn't seem to make sense to me that the time to finally do those songs again after all these years would be the tour when Steve Hunter is back in the fold.
Still, I prefer to be surprised when that curtain drops in Elizabeth so I hop very few, if any, details leak about the set and the show.

well, you have better patience than me,RI. I keep laughing at myself every time I swear I won't listen to anything from the new album when it gets leaked, when I know I will!!!!

I'm not talking about album leaks... I don't have much patience there I admit.scotty wrote:I keep laughing at myself every time I swear I won't listen to anything from the new album when it gets leaked, when I know I will!!!!
I'm also speaking personally because I'm going to the first show. If I weren't, I'd be interested in hearing more because the details would be out there anyhow.
However, since I'll be in Elizabeth, and it's only 8 days away, I want to be surprised like I was for the TOD show in Elizabeth 2 years ago.
There's nothing cooler than knowing almost *nothing* about a show when you're there to see it.

I also don't mind know everything about the show before going to see it. Different experience but I enjoy knowing what is ahead.
Gives me time to listen to the songs and re-learn the lyrics

Welcome 2 My Nightmare will top TOD in terms of Theatrics and everything elseThe Spider wrote:In all honesty, I don't think Alice will ever top the TOD in terms of theatrics. However I think that if the W2MN tour is anything like the original WTMN tour in the 70's, it will be quite special.Billie1966 wrote:Ohhhhh Crap.. That was TOD! PD was where Alice killed Alice.. Yea that one was a bit low on theatrics.
Sorry
