Lokerse Feesten (Aug 1)

Post by Lisacooper91 » Sat Jul 24, 2010 6:11 pm

Alright, so only 8 days to go until the Lokerse Feesten in Belgium!
I was just wondering if any Sick Things from here will be attending.
I'll be there with a friend and hoping to meet 4 other Alice fans I know in real life.

Line up for that day:
18.00h Panic Cell
19.00h Anthrax
20.30h Papa Roach
22.00h Life of Agony
23.30h Alice Cooper
01.00h Eppo Janssen (DJ)

Hope to see some Sick Things there!
I'm so looking forward to it, really need that to cheer me up...

I gave up on that one. I am not a big fan of festivals. And I didn't have the time to visit Belgium, it would be a bit silly to travel that far for just one evening.

Looks like I'll have to wait until november :p

Yeah, not really into festivals either... but it was cheap, so ;)
A year ago I also went to a festival in Belgium to see Alice, it was also very cheap. I actually enjoyed it, also because Apocalyptica was there. Finally I could see those guys live.
And the people are really nice there, in Belgium.
Hope it'll be relaxed this time too.

So far I know 7 people who will be attending.
Can't wait to see them and Alice!

Hope I'll get to see Toby too, would be nice. :)

Well for me it's about 10-11 hours of train and quite expensive. Would have been ok if combined with a holiday, but not for "just" one show.

Have fun!

true that ;)
10-11 hours on the train, for a festival with only Alice as good artist... wouldn't do that either.

anyway, I'll be there around 12 I guess... really have to make it front row and not only because it's cool!
my back always hurts very quickly when I have to stand for a long time, so yeah, leaning over the fence is very nice ;)
and I'm small... if I'm not front row then I can't see a damn thing :bam:

Alright, the concert was AMAZING! but during Papa Roach I ended up in the hospital...

There was so much crowdsurfing going on, so we had to duck every minute. And of course, it went wrong. One of the crowdsurfers got carried away, right over me but the guards couldn't hold him or something, so he kinda fell and smashed my head against the fence.

I sort of collapsed and blood was all over my head. Got carried away, they checked me and they said it was a big wound which needed to be stitched.

The brought me to the hospital, but all I could worry about was if I'd be back in time to see Alice. They must've thought I was crazy or something.

After I got stitched up we had to walk back on our own, which was a bit stupid. They didn't put us back front row, so we had to make or way through the crowd ourselves.

Eventually we ended up front row, on the same spot (thanks to some people!!)

I really enjoyed the show; the headache was gone the minute I saw Alice. Jumping around and singing, just being happy again.

The guards felt so guilty... and thanks to one of them I got a guitar pick from Keri Kelli.

Also got a guitar pick from Anthrax.

Now I'm going to lay down or something.
*passes out*

Well, you saw Alice and you got a pick? That wasn't a bad evening after all :). Sad that I didn't see you there, forgot to ask your phone number.

But I have another question.
I'm making a sort of video from the Lokerse Feesten (bits and pieces glued together), and I would like to know who actually played that evening. 'Cause I'm not sure. I know it was Kerri Kelli and bass was Chuck Garric. But who played the other guitar? I wasn't sure on him. Also, who played the drums? I really doubt if it was Eric Singer...

By the way, all the bands on that festival were great, but Life of Agony sucked really big time :p . Be glad you missed those guys, Lisa!

I was looking for you, Niels! Shame we didn't see eachother. I was standing front row, on the right side.

My head is really starting to hurt, now the adraneline is gone. But it was worth it  So glad I could return and watch the show!

Still thinking about going to one of the German gigs. Hope I can go...

I was looking for you as well, but apparently at the wrong places. I stood almost in the front(in the beginning I was, but they started to mosh and I'm not that into thos stuff, especially when I'm taking a picture)

I just know that we'll ever see eachother!

Sure it was worth it :D you got two picks instead, that's something!

Jaded, thanks for the reply! Finishing my video right now :D

Hope you'll get better soon! But after today, your last day at work, you can get some rest :)

Well, I wasn't going to post it on youtube, 'cause it was crappy filming :p . But I'd love to read your reactions, so it's loading!

(10 minutes later)

It's done! Here's the link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ON46ikST ... tube_gdata

The video is still progressing, when I clicked it, I couldn't watch it. I guess it will take a few hours, or even days... But it worked :D!

PS: because the vid is still progressing, the quality is really bad. YouTube told me that it will improve once the video is progressed.
