ACAS Bonus Tracks :))))

Most all artists do this now it's no surprise. We may see a second edition of this cd released with the bonus tracks added. I would like to see these added to the album simply because the album is simply to short as it is. And it would be interesting to see them release bonus material on different formats like in FLAC but again this is an iTunes store exclusive.
But I don't know what you are all complaining about. You have bought the CD and some the LP as well. Just download the bonus material from somewhere else (hint) and if you feel inept buy the material when it makes an official release when they double dip.
I know I'll hear some "we want it officially" Fact is the people who want to buy it digitally will and the rest of us will buy it physically.

MP3 sucks in general. iTunes deals primarily with selling Mp3s.nurserozetta wrote:And we know this , how ???
It isn't that I want it physically. I want it lossless. I want it to sound exactly the same as the rest of the album - lossless (at least as far as CD standards go).Malchik wrote: I know I'll hear some "we want it officially" Fact is the people who want to buy it digitally will and the rest of us will buy it physically.

MP3's are enough for the average listener to be happy with what they hear. I appreciate how they are worse quality than lossless, but lossy compression doesn't make for lossy enjoyment....especially when it means the songs are more accessible. I'm thinking of all the new bands putting stuff out on the net, on myspace etc. as well as iTunes.
I wouldn't be suprised however that in years to come, lossless tracks of artists will be the norm to download legally...

I just remembered that there were two issues of Dragontown. The second had a bonus live disc. This is probably what will happen - comparable to the B$B special edition as well. We'll get disc 1 - the album and disc 2 will be a mixture of studio bonus and live tracks. In a dream world, we'll get a DVD of live performances and the promo footage.
That would totally be worth a double dip.

I think Ive seen artists release bonus tracks on the dvd issue of the following concert.
I agree though, mp3 release is lame. iTunes is such a retarded trend. But maybe its good for getting it out there to new listeners?
Another thing is that the album is too short for what I originally thought had so many songs written for the album. These songs should just be on the CD if he wanted them released anyway.

Not so retarded with the second sentence now is it?Nev wrote: iTunes is such a retarded trend. But maybe its good for getting it out there to new listeners?
Ask the producer about that one.Another thing is that the album is too short for what I originally thought had so many songs written for the album.
Then why would people have a reason to buy the album off iTunes? These songs should just be on the CD if he wanted them released anyway.

You know very well what I mean, but I will spell it out for you anyway.
Instead of releasing an album of 14 songs(example....don't know how many bonus tracks will be released), let's release an album of 11 songs and then put 3 bonus tracks on iTunes. That way if the fans want to hear them, they have to purchase the album twice.

Not exactly a huge conspiracy... but okay.Feezle-Nuts wrote:Instead of releasing an album of 14 songs(example....don't know how many bonus tracks will be released), let's release an album of 11 songs and then put 3 bonus tracks on iTunes.
Are we absolutely positive that will be the case? That way if the fans want to hear them, they have to purchase the album twice.
