Stand is a good song, not really my cup of tea. But The Sharpest Pain sounds so much better and in my opinion would've been a better addition to DD than rereleasin Stand.

The Sharpest Pain is by far the better track. It is a better fit with the other tracks on the album as well.

btw--I certainly hope that I am wrong in the opinion that The Sharpest Pain was not included on the more accessible albums in order to cause the hardcore fans to buy both versions of DD. I definately dont like that train of thought at all but it has crept into my brain on more than one occasion.

Anybody else?

Putting Stand on the album was a mistake. In almost every review you see, positive or negative, someone had something smart to say about "Stand." Even in the really good reviews the person writing the review always commented it was the one clunker on Dirty Diamonds. That seemed to be a consenus. A lot of the reviwers just didn't get that it was supposed to be an added track, a bonus track so it shouldn't be compared with the rest of the album. New West or whoever is responsible should have seen that coming.

Its not as if they were running out of space on a disc.
why make getting hold of "Sharpest Pain" so difficult in the countries were he has his best sales.

I'd like to get a DD CD with SP which I believe is only available in Australia. Where can I get one here in Canada? How much does it sell for in Australia? And would anyone there be willing to send one if I sent over a money order?

Wow! just heard it for the first time. This is one of the better songs on the album IMO. I really liked it the first time. Now I gotta get an Aussie version as well. Stand is crap compared to this. It never should have been released as a bonus track. What in the hell were they thinking?
