Only thing(s) that would make it a GREAT song would be one:
1. Better Lyrics (an actual story to the song)
2. Alice's wailing at the very end can go

Other than that the Ross show made it a lot better.. maybe WMD will be different when it shines in all its glory too.

Well, I listened to it on the Ross show as well...it definitely SOUNDS better! I like the Zigzag keyboards alot, and of course the guitar solo. ;)
But I have to say that I still think it's just plain SILLY!!

Yeah its stoopid mainly because of the lyrics I think.

I heard the song for the first time today and I must say that I really liked it.. the riff I think was better on WOMD but as an overall song i think i prefer STC.

And Zombie dance?... OH MY GOD!! :p

I didn't vote because I couldn't when this thread first came out ( As I didn't hear the song) But after hearing the song for the first time last night I can honestly say Ezrin's gonna take a sledgehammer to Alice for this song.

That Chorus It burns my ears to even think about it. It's way too happy. Why couldn't Alice just take a little break after the whole "everybody knows I'm gonna ..." Stop singing and maybe give the song the Alice snarl for the "steal that car" bit?

Besides that gripe it's still rather bland but I still want the album NOW

You should hear it on the Ross show, sounds a ton better but the lyrics are still stupid. But for all we know.. maybe in the next song we find out its Jessie Jane who stole that car or something. A continuation?

I really really like this song. It's a fast rocker with good lyrics. Silly? completely, just like under my wheels, be my lover, caught in a dream, long way to go, department of youth... wouldn't it be horrible if every song Alice did was an 8 minute epic like Halo of flies or a "serious" song like pick up the bones? We'd be bored and depressed! On the other hand, aren't we lucky that Alice is able to make awesome songs like Halo of Flies, pick up the bones and under my wheels? The man can do it all.

It's not the lyrics, Those are fine I did hear this song on that bbc thing so it's not the quality of sound. It's the delivery of the chorus, it's gay, not funny or alicey at all "Steal that car" Just should NOT BE SUNG. Especially in three different notes no less. Blah Dying to hear the rest but I think I'll skip this track as much as possible

Wouldn´t you say the same about songs like
You gotta dance, Damned if you do, Crazy little child, Leather boots, And yet those songs still rock

You gotta dance is cool with alice in his disco hell sauve tempo. Yeah I'm not a big fan of Damned if you do, Leather boots, or Ubangistomp but those songs I generally don't like from start to finish. In Steal that car, it's just that line that kills me

Yeah, when is this thing due? I've now heard June, July and August. I'm seeing the man in late June, I want the new album BEFORE i see him live! FTF, any idea?

All I can tell you is what is on the news page. One source says Germany (and presumably Europe) is first week July and another source says USA in first week August. Take you pick.

Confusing. There was a full page article and interview with Alice in a local newspaper down here in Melbourne about 3-4 weeks ago, and it stated that DD was due in June. So out of June, July and August I'll take June thanks!

The coop tour is named the eyes tour . That to me is saying we aint going to see the new album before the tour hits oz . I could be wrong and i hope i am , as i would love to hear the new tunes live along with the classics .

It seems very odd that Alice would name the new tour the same as he did a year ago..
