Just remember there's a crush at the gates when start time approaches.
There are security (& possibly ID issues Re:Casino) not just ticket checks these days.
Enjoy the show!

I notice Alice mentioned playing different songs every night in the UK, and it obviously got the mind running wild with all sorts of fanciful (but unrealistic) possibilities. Of course, as alluded to by Si on the new page, I imagine this'll just be songs that tend to be in and out of rotation anyway.

I did think to myself is this something that was brought about by the fact that it's a co-headlining tour, and the set length could be shortened slightly. I'm not sure if this will be the case, but I seem to remember this happened with the Motorhead tour in 2007.

With that in mind, I'm thinking we pretty much know what a good chunk of these songs will be. If we look at the current set, and see what's been in and out recently (apologies for errors):

Go to Hell
Hey Stoopid
Rock and Roll
Social Debris
Be My Lover
Is It My Body
Lost in America
He's Back (dropped for a shortened show recently IIRC)
Dead Babies (as above)

So if you're rotating two songs a night, you've got enough to 4-5 different nights there. Maybe throw in Muscle of Love and Raped and Freezin' from their last UK shows, which may still be fresh in the memory and you're one short of a complete set.

Not great news to start the day with.

I guess The Cult play for a long time then.

On Glen Sobel Instagram story, he comments everything late today in advance of show. Guy showing him to stage says the Cult were late on and late to finish. Let's just hope that's a one off and we'll get the more normal 24-25 song set on the rest of the dates. Especially Glasgow

This had always been touted as a co-headline tour, so it shouldn't be a surprise that The Cult get the same set length as Alice.

I had a look on the Swansea Arena Facebook page, and both Alice and The Cult were alloted 75 minutes. Judging by the Facebook vids from the US shows, Alice has been doing approx 95 mins recently, so cutting down the set this much was to be expected. I think this is why he mentioned playing different songs at every UK show, as they'll have more practiced than they'll be able to play each night, and it'll keep things fresh for the band / hardcore fans and perhaps act as an incentive for people to attend multiple shows.

AC and Cult et 75 minutes each. Both band having to cut their set. Creeper sadly only got 20 mins, a shame as they blew the cult off stage but really barely got warmed up!

And yes Lordcatfish, that is exactly right. They aren't really playing different songs each night, more like dropping different songs. Splitting hairs I know (as the result is the same) but there you have it.

Disappointed to hear about sound issues and a potential shortened set.

Logically:
Creeper on at 1830-1900
The Cult 1930-2100
Alice 2130-2300

I don't think it's unreasonably late to have The Cult on at 1930 for a double header.

The fact Alice was still able to play 1hr 20mins gives me some hope that we might get a full set once they've sorted the timings out after hearing Glen was moaning about lateness and stage times etc.

If it is the scheduled two 75min slots for each band, I can't help but think the charge of the tickets was a bit excessive of around £80. Alice on his own is what £60ish? with a couple of support acts. As much as I like the Cult, they aren't the live act Alice are and even a 1 hour Cult slot with a 1hr 30 Alice set seems more logical.

It's a co-headline, so The Cult have to have the option of the same stage time. Only fair under the circumstances and almost certainly built into the tour contract.

Slightly disappointed with this. Going off the set-list and the stage set up from Youtube videos, this is basically the same show as the last UK Tour; albeit with a shorter set. I was hoping for a few more songs he didn't play last time and a revamp of the stage set. The other bands on the bill (The Stranglers and MC5) were better last time too.

Ah well, I am sure I'll still enjoy the Manchester gig on Friday. I have never seen a bad Alice Cooper concert in the 40 years I have been going to see Alice live.

In fairness, the castle stage / show was almost brand new when he toured the UK in 2019. It then got mothballed during Covid so hasn’t actually had much use. No surprise, therefore, to see little changes to what is a really good production (in my opinion).

Exactly. This is effective the same tour, but with a two year layoff.

Was genuinely happy to see this production again, despite taking it in it several times in 2019.

Roses On White Lace is pretty much perfection.

Hopefully we’ll see a recording and future video release.

Swansea was great. My only criticism was the guitars weren’t loud enough, most of the solos weren’t cutting through. It’s a new venue so must have been a challenge, especially with 3 guitars. I’m sure they’ll get it right for the rest of the tour.
Highlight for me was the musical question and answer as Alice played great harmonica and Tommy played great guitar. A great reminder of how good both of them are as musicians. Alice never gets enough credit of how good he can play that harp, which gets overshadowed because he’s such a great lyricist, showman, and has such a unique voice, that no one has ever been able to match in terms of malevolence, apart from Arthur Brown on Fire.

There is an average review of the Swansea concert in The Guardian

It probably wasn’t woke enough for The Guardian.
