I will try and upload some pictures with orianthi from the Orlando show here in about 3 weeks. Still trying to decide if I'm going to St Augustine also

Any news if it is going to be a new show? I doubt but I still have some hope.

I'm curious too. I'll be seeing them on Feb 2 in Greensboro. Hopefully there will be some surprises.

Very, very unlikely this will be a new show. It is only a handful of dates. This short tour, according to Alice (Which is why Nita wasn't available because she was already booked with some solo shows) kind of came about last second. They are very unlikely to make setlist changes for the most part or have a new stage set-up. If a change is coming, it won't be until later in the year.

If anything I'm thinking these shows will be slightly different or scaled back due to having Orianthi onboard and what she can get up to speed on. And speaking of onboard this short tour is leading up to the Legends cruise and they may not be able to take the background screens with them due to size. I'm also guessing you can't take a boa constrictor on a cruise ship.

Orianthi has injured her hamstring / hip, so Gilby Clarke will be stepping in for Nita.

Interesting development.
At least they do have a stable of excellent musicians to choose from. :alice:

That's too bad about Oranthi. I was looking forward to seeing her since I think I somehow missed her the 1st time around. I wonder if Kane was considered.

Somebody asked the question.
Here's one answer. Pretty big range.

"The final Alice Cooper booking price is contingent on many variables and the booking fee we may show is based on a range derived from our past experience with what will Alice Cooper charge for an event. An example fee to book Alice Cooper is in the starting range of $150,000-$299,000."
as per Celebrity Talent International.

There were indeed a few surprises at the Greensboro, NC show. (Perhaps the biggest one at the end of this post?) It was almost the same show that I saw a few years ago in Spartanburg, SC. They opened with the "BANNED" newspaper, a brief bit of "Lock Me Up," and then went into "Welcome to the Show." That was a new one on me, but it's been mentioned here and on YouTube plenty. Gilby Clarke was great, and he fit in wonderfully. He only played Les Pauls, and he had quite a selection, including a gorgeous gold top. They played an excellent guitar-rich version of "He's Back," which was far better than the keyboard original. Plus, this was the first time I'd ever seen a Cooper concert where they didn't play "Elected."

Here's the big surprise I mentioned above, and I'm not entirely sure it even qualifies. At the very top of the show, before the house lights went down, they played a bunch of cool songs on the overhead. Towards showtime, they played a song that I didn't recognize. I was engaged in chatter before I realized that I was hearing Alice's voice on the song. I didn't have the wherewithal to write it down, and I'm mad at myself for that. If anyone sees this post before they see him, please keep your ears peeled. It’s either an obscure song that’s been around for a while, or it could be a sly tip of something new. (They played "I Better Be Good" a few songs prior to it, if that's any help.) All in all... a great time was had by all.

I seem to remember another user mentioning something similar recently - a song played over the PA before the show started that they didn't recognise. The line of thinking was it might've been a song by another artist that Alice featured on, rather than an actual Alice song.

The pre-show tape includes Alice songs, solo songs by the band (for example Nita's 'Victorious') and songs by other artists which Alice guests on (Do I recall the Phil Campbell song?).
Without hearing it I couldn't say what the specific song is though. Would need to hear it.

Someone did post a clip on Youtube asking about a song on the tape, but it was 'I Better Be Good' from Zipper Catches Skin as you mentioned.

Maybe someone going to a show soon could take notes?

You could try the guest appearances page and see if anything jogs your memory.

I have looked for that page, but couldn’t find it. Maybe an iPad thing. Anyway, thanks Si. Everything and nothing rings a bell, if that makes sense. It’s entirely possible that it's a song that has been known for a long time.

Nothing to look for. Just click the link and it will take you to the page (even on an iPad :) ).

Alternatively you can go via the "history" menu, select 'Trivia', then 'Guest Appearances'.

Well, hot diggity. There's my chunk of information for the day. I've always looked at the Discography dropdown menu then Albums. I guess that I allowed myself to be conditioned by the upper two categories in the stack. The album pictures themselves take you to that album's own page. I assumed that the "Guest Appearances" pictures did the same thing, but never went looking at anything in particular. Now I see that clicking a picture takes you to it's spot - ON THE LIST. DUHHH. :p

Thanks again, Si!

Random thoughts from the Orlando show----- We did the VIP and there were at least 50 people signed up. Basically just a couple minutes with Alice as you had your pictures taken. Had to leave your cell phone with security. Alice as usual was very pleasant. The merchandise they ship to you this time looks improved- fanny pack, beanie, shot glass set, poster and setlist. People from all over the country including some I had chatted with in other states. The crowd for the show were enthusiastic, loud and on their feet. I did'nt catch the mystery song mentioned above due to low volume and crowd noise. Someone mentioned above how great Gilby was but just my opinion he was fairly unprepared, playing through breaks and not coming close to how the solos go. His solo was also less than impressive. Roxie did throw in the licks from It's hot tonight during his. I understand he was hired on short notice but I would have been ok with just Roxie and Tommy. I will admit I am a big fan of Nita and the energy she brings to the show. Also missed all the screams she gets out of her guitar. The guy playing Alice was very good at it but he usually is. For some reason they saved the bubbles for Feed my Frankenstein which meant less time popping them . Yeah- it's the little things
Si posted some pictures I sent him in the photo section if you want to see them. I bought tickets for Savannah GA in May this morning. Front row for 275$. I thought that was pretty reasonable
