No Polygamist

Post by Alicehunter2000 » Thu Jul 24, 2008 8:00 pm

Most of us would agree that this album is something very different from Alice's previous albums, however, it does contain elements of many previous works. So here is my question.

The marriage of what two albums you think most closely represents ACAS

Remember, only 2 albums......No Polygamist.

My parental choices after hearing ACAS only once would be....

The Mother- Special Forces (militant techno sounding percussion...lot's of snare (drum machine?)

The Father- Dragontown (heavy sounding but not plodding like Brutal Planet)

This should be interesting to those who haven't heard the album yet.

So nobody thinks that this is a blend of Alice's earlier stuff? I was just curious as to what other albums ACAS reminds people of.

I don't....

Nobody.......is that you? .......just kidding (couldn't help myself) ;) Actually, Nobody is the one thinking that this is a blend........uh-oh I guess I'm the nobody ......damn! thought I had you.

Just skimmed through it again. I'm definately getting a strong techno/ industrial vibe personally. Are those drums (just heavy snare) , drum machines or just crappy computer speakers.
