What was the last stand out album for you by Alice?
Although the thread title is open to starting a debate that's not what I am after, just interested in a straight up answer (and why), for me...Brutal Planet
It just reeks of confidence and has maybe 3 filler songs on it max imo.

I'm exclusively an ACG fan so I have to go all the way back to 1973 for mine: Muscle of Love. Simply because it's the last new full length studio album by the Group (to date ;-) and thereby (IMHO) the last album with outstanding songs on it.
I could have stated the Greatest Hits (1974) album or the Old School box set instead but I don't know if either should qualify.

Goes To Hell. The ACG albums and WTMN were better, but I feel like it was the last one that was more killer than filler.

Welcome 2 My Nightmare was my favourite since Brutal Planet. It's not perfect, but probably just cracks my top 10. If we're talking top 5 or masterpiece level, it would be Brutal Planet easily.
Re: What was the last stand out album for you by Alice?
I loved Welcome 2 My Nightmare
But its all been poor since Brutal Planet (tho I do LOVE half of dragontown)
Tbh leading up to brutal planet from constrictor its been a six album run of wall to wall classic albums. loved them all.

The last temptation! Classic rock, strong story, great hooks and melodies.I really liked 'eyes' but would count it more a 'very good' album rather than a classic. I didn't like either of the industrial metal albums. DD has some great moments but not quite up there. So last temptation it is.
Re: What was the last stand out album for you by Alice?
For me, the Cooper creative heydays finished when the WB contract ended, and AC cleaned up. For his own sanity, Alice had to detach himself from the former madness, but that detachment inevitably meant something special was lost forever. He became much more of a parody.
I think the hair-metal bandwagon albums are dreadful, but his return to Christianity sparked a mini-artistic revival, because he obviously had something sincere to say. I rate all three of the 'morality trio' records, with BP (and the attendant live album) being the crowning glory. After that, he's tried on various musical hats, with mixed results, to say the least.
His increasingly metal-nostalgia stage show hasn't done him any artistic favours, and linking back up with BE for the last three albums has been, IMO, a comfort-zone mistake.

"The Eyes of Alice Cooper" was the last one that I thought was a really good album from start to finish and didn't feel contrived.

The Last Temptation and TEOAC are both great albums.

Re: What was the last stand out album for you by Alice?
I like all eras of Alice but I am a bigger solo fan than original group so I like a lot of his solo projects. The last stand out album, in my opinion, was Brutal Planet (I think the album before it, The Last Temptation was a classic too). I think that was one of the five best albums he has done in his entire career. I know it seems to be a bit of a polarizing album for some fans, but I liked the W2MN album a lot (not a stand out but really good).

W2MN. DD before that. I like it when Alice experiments and gives you a varied album that keeps it interesting and these two were successful in that regard for me.

For me it would be 'Welcome 2 My Nightmare.' While far from perfect, I believe there are some very good songs on there.

Lace and Whiskey

Re: What was the last stand out album for you by Alice?
I think W2MN was a very strong album. Easily his best since "The Last Temptation" in my opinion. So those two are the two stand out AC solo albums in later years for me.
Re: What was the last stand out album for you by Alice?
W2MN. There's nothing truly wrong with the album for me, but the subsequent tour and implementing covers into the setlist, then the Hollywood Vampires thing...that just turned m off as a fan.
Sadly, it ooks to continue on for the foreseeable future.

Re: What was the last stand out album for you by Alice?
Brutal Planet. Welcome 2 has its moments but for me it's like Trash...a project from the producer with Alices vocal. Ghouls gone wild, Disco Bloodbath, What baby wants...i like that album but theese are for me not Alice Cooper songs. I think the new one has the chance to be a standout album. I like the two songs and Genuine American Girls is good too. And I like almost all of the samples, especially Dead Flies, Fireball and The sound of a. Maybe...
