Alice continues to innovate and create, regardless of the flak. Long Live ALICE COOPER.
Did you see that article where Alice was interviewed by the CBN (Christian Broadcasting Network) where he compared himself to being a rebel like Jesus? He has to watch that stuff or he'll be doing shows on the 700 Club soon. LOL

At least he didn't say he was bigger than Christ like that other Hollywood Vampire John Lennon.
I do wonder if Marilyn Manson reads that bible that Alice have him before retiring to bed with Dita Von Tiess though.

Doubtful. They divorced over a decade ago.

I'd love to see him resurrect (no pun intended) Maurice Escargot and the Dancing Chickens and perform "Lace & Whiskey" on the 700 Club. That would give the old gray hairs a real hoot. (wait--I just realized I am now one of those old gray hairs).

I never knew Marilyn Manson knew how to read.

Humility and reverence seem not to have been wasted on Alice. You and I are those mere drops of water, sir.

Me too. I assumed he just looked at the pictures.

This week marks the 50th Anniversary of Love It To Death. It seems that if they let this anniversary slip by unnoticed, then there probably isn't much to look forward to with any of the other upcoming album 50ths. I am really, really hoping for a School's Out box, but I don't know....

Yeah I thought everything might have gotten the delux treatment on CD, digital and vinyl but it appears not. Nothing for LITD and the most we can hope for with Killer ironically right now is a covers album.
I could be wrong, maybe the Alice Camp felt a LITD release would detract from Detroit Stories (although maybe that is an irrelevance if Warner hold the rights?). If that is the case though maybe Killer will see something official.

I see that there's a new repress of School's Out coming out on vinyl with replica packaging, paper panties etc.
But I agree... LITD should have been commemorated properly with a deluxe release

March 16th 1968 was not only Michael Bruce’s 20th birthday, but the very first Alice Cooper show with a support slot at Earl Warren Show Grounds in Santa Barbara, California with Blue Cheer and Nitty Gritty Dirt band, the posters advertising The Nazz prior to the name change were even printed.
So the 50th anniversary went in 2018, though I just noticed this is an old thread.
I wonder if there might be a joint 50th celebration of Love It to Death and Killer, two incredible albums both released in 1971.
Maybe there will be a double album as a reissue on the Killer date of November 27th to celebrate!
Lead guitar on Social Debris. Album on iTunes, Amazon & Spotify, title track featured on TV

It's been almost six years since I started this thread. Seems like yesterday. It's hard to believe that the original band created all of those great albums in roughly the same amount of time. Here's to the future - whatever it may bring.
The suspense is terrible. I hope it'll last!
