I agree. If this carries on, this recording will end up being released dozens of times, just like the Toronto recording from 1969 and that would be ridiculous.

I do but I am sworn to secrecy. I can say it is a double digi pack with " Man's Man " featuring alt mixes.

While it's nice to have a vinyl copy of these radio broadcasts with a spiffy wrapper, especially if the sq is top notch - what bothers me is that they never offer anything (musically speaking) better than what circulates.
A few years back, I gathered multiple versions of the Saginaw show and stitched together the most complete version of this concert. It comes in at around 60-61 minutes and includes Lace & Whiskey and IHT and the full UMW intro (many versions use a fade in). I torrented it over at dimeadozen, maybe called EZtree back then, in hopes that would make all previous versions nonessential and if anyone decided to bootleg Saginaw once again, they would have to get an even more complete version. Well that was wishful thinking.

There are always the completists TB. They will buy anything. Then you have people who don't download and like physical product. It is odd that there is still enough of a market for this to be released over and over.Toronto Bob wrote:While it's nice to have a vinyl copy of these radio broadcasts with a spiffy wrapper, especially if the sq is top notch - what bothers me is that they never offer anything (musically speaking) better than what circulates.

I wonder if there's a completest out there who has every or most variations of the Toronto 1969 recording?
Anyone care to confess?
I'll start, I have 5 (3 vinyl, 1 cd and 1 cassette)

Theses do come out in quite small numbers each time though I think, so the demand isn't as big as you might think. They rely on the relatively small number of completists to keep buying each version.

Dude - you are the king! Would love to see some pics if you have them. Any versions actually get the song titles correct?

They are only releasing the full broadcastshow because that's in the grey area. If they alter the show and put some extra songs to it it would be a 100% bootleg. I don't think they wanna risk that.Toronto Bob wrote:While it's nice to have a vinyl copy of these radio broadcasts with a spiffy wrapper, especially if the sq is top notch - what bothers me is that they never offer anything (musically speaking) better than what circulates.

This release is much easier for them.

I think the recent "Nobody Likes Us" did.
