According to the Tonight Show's website, Alice is the musical guest. Four days before the album drops...maybe he'll do IBYFO?

I hope he doesn't play it safe. I'd like to hear something different and if the song played is from the new album, definitely not IBYFO as I don't think it sound as good live as it does on the album.
Re: Alice on Jay Leno-Friday, Sep.9
I really dont expect nothing else than IBYFO performed on the show. Of course I'd LOVE to hear CAFFEINE, but dont think it'd happen.
Re: Alice on Jay Leno-Friday, Sep.9
Yup, they'll stick IBYFO just for the fact of it being so well rehearsed, not to mention being the first single.juancoop wrote:I really dont expect nothing else than IBYFO performed on the show. Of course I'd LOVE to hear CAFFEINE, but dont think it'd happen.

For promotional and commercial reasons it's the best option he played IBYFO.
On the album this is a really good song.

I'm glad he's appearing on Leno, although I wish he would have appeared on a comedy talk show instead.

Ah... I can smell the odor of gas already... They will probably talk about cars.

Keep in mind, as Alice is scheduled to be the "musical guest" there may or may not be any interview. Usually if there is, it's just a FEW brief words with the artist after their song, time allowing. In Chick wrote:Ah... I can smell the odor of gas already... They will probably talk about cars.

LMOE would be a great choice for the live performance but one can only dream.

I agree with you!But that one needs a "dozen" of music organs to be played perfectly..IBYFO is the most possible.Pennypacker wrote:LMOE would be a great choice for the live performance but one can only dream.

if he plays "school's out",so help me...........
Re: Alice on Jay Leno-Friday, Sep.9
I remember his first TV apparence after the release of ACAS, when they played 'Elected', there was a lot of negative post all around the forums. By the way, he came 2 or 3 days later to play Vengeance Is Mine. I don't think he will do the same mistake this time.scotty wrote:if he plays "school's out",so help me...........
Re: Alice on Jay Leno-Friday, Sep.9
If I recall they recorded both songs at the same time. It was the show's producers who choose to play 'Elected' first.Awakening wrote:I remember his first TV apparence after the release of ACAS, when they played 'Elected', there was a lot of negative post all around the forums. Thanks.

"Vengeance" actually aired a few weeks later (one performance early Sept, the other in late Sept.)Awakening wrote:I remember his first TV apparence after the release of ACAS, when they played 'Elected', there was a lot of negative post all around the forums. When it was Craig Kilborn's show they did something similar with "Man of the Year" and "No More Mr. Nice Guy" I believe.

Glad he's doing US TV, but (imho) Leno's a turd. Would rather see him ham it up with Conan O'Brien.

Re: Alice on Jay Leno-Friday, Sep.9
Well....Leno, Letterman, and Ferguson have all had Alice on (multiple times, I'm pretty sure...I know Leno and Ferguson have had him on fairly regularly in the last 5 years.) Conan is the one who has NEVER had Alice on. And, I recall Alice saying on NWAC a while ago, that he had been scheduled before, but it got cancelled/bumped. So, whether or not that's true, it seems Coop would be up for being on Conan...but that Conan/his show has never gotten themselves in gear/interested enough to have Alice on.departmentofyouth wrote:Glad he's doing US TV, but (imho) Leno's a turd. Personally, my FAVE is Craig Ferguson. Would love to see Alice on there again, and when Craig asks "Awkward Pause, Mouth Organ, or Touch My Glittery Ball", for Alice to just wail on the harmonica and win the "Golden Harmonica" award.
