Looks awesome!
While much of the stuff is already "out there" if you look around, I would expect these versions have all been professionally cleaned up as best they could so should be of value to any fan. Plus it DOES look amazing!

Looks indeed amazing but I couldn't pre-order it.
Someone else had the same problem ??

And is it just for sale at ac.com or will amazon sell this also?

I think they are still tweeking the new site. When JAded was trying in IE it wouldn`t load properly at all, but was working in Firefox, so hopefully everything will be fixed by the morning.

Don`t know if it will be available elsewhere as well. I would assume so but who knows. Plenty of time to find out though. Doesn`t say it's limited edition from what I could see, and isn`t out till June.

Looks like a fine boxset indeed :)

& whilst there's been plenty of talk about a boxset getting put together in the past, it's nice to have this one getting compiled and ready for release without much warning - especially something as comprehensive as this. All the effort and attention must have taken a considerable amount of time for all involved, and for it to be done in the quiet without the lead up of speculations and expectations from fans is refreshing.

Thanks for posting up the news so quickly, too - especially for this as it's nice to have it announced on the day to mark the occasion of HoF induction.

I was hoping for a "warner bros" box set,per countless discussions here covering "pretties for you" through "dada"!
maybe that's next time.

If I was to guess, I'd say this stops at '74 because it covers the band years. If this sells well, they'd probably do another covering the solo years, because there are undoubtedly tracks that didn't make it to the last boxset.

For someone who listens to vinyl, the inclusion of a live killer show on vinyl and an EP is pretty tempting. I'll probably spring for it, to show my support for the man, but I'd feel much better about the purchase if I saw a track list for the 4 CDs.

Brian Renfield told me once there wasn't much material left from the early albums so my expectations for outtakes we never heard are none.
However I also want to see the tracklist.
Soon we will.

This looks to be a truly a brilliant piece (I would assume this is the boxset that Ernie was talking about on his facebook.)

I wonder what the DVD is?

Yes, it did. It was very hard work.

> and for it to be done in the quiet without the lead up of speculations and expectations from fans is refreshing.

That's why it wasn't announced until the time was right.

> it's nice to have it announced on the day to mark the occasion of HoF induction

That was the whole point.

That is correct.

That is sort of correct.

It's a single.
