Very cool...
Brian was very gracious and extended backstage passes to me on a couple of occassions.
I won't forget his love for all things Alice and for his fellow AC fans.
A major part of the Alice Cooper story, that's for sure.

I was watching the VH-1 Behind The Music special last night and Brian popped up in a few spots adding his expertise. Good to see him again...Remember the good times folks as there were many...

Another year has past and I miss you more than ever. :~(
Re: Brian 'Renfield' Nelson
Everytime we are standing at the barrier before the show I still expect to see Brian walking down the front.. I don't think that will ever change. We will always miss him..

Posted this pic sometime ago but it disappeared for some reason.
I think it shows Brian's love, dedication and appreciation for Alice's fans brilliantly...

I knew Brian before he was with Alice, i used to see him at record shows and Alice concerts. he had his World's Biggest Alice Cooper fan cards then. He even introduced me to Alice saying I'm Canada's biggest fan...thanks Brian.
Just wondering does anyone know what happened, I was shocked to hear he had passed.

That was cool that you knew him back then. The Cooper camp has not release the cause of death out of respect to privacy.

Ya, I might still have one of his old cards somewhere. I was friends with Mike Pinera and was on the Special Forces tour in Canada. This was when Brian first started and I remember him and Alice coming out of the hotel, Brian had to carry all of Alice's bags, glad that change for him over the years.WickedYoungMan wrote:That was cool that you knew him back then. Brian even called me from Alice's place once, I had a t shirt that was made after the riot in Torornto and Alice was looking for one: it said "I Survived The Alice Cooper Riot". I was there right at the front, so it got crazy when the chairs started flying.
I wonder what has happened to his collection, which apparently took up 2 warehouses? Wish he was around to be involved with the Old School Boxset, I'm sure he would have had some great rarities to include.
Miss You Brian.

He would, no doubt, be having a ball with everything going on right now with as relatively active as the original band have been, the box set, Nightmare 2, etc.

Re: Brian 'Renfield' Nelson
I know it makes me sad he's missing probably one of the most important years in Alice Cooper, Hall of Fame, Nightmare 2, the ACG playing together...WickedYoungMan wrote:He would, no doubt, be having a ball with everything going on right now with as relatively active as the original band have been, the box set, Nightmare 2, etc.

A great deal of the material in "Old School" did come from his archive, so there's no need to assume it did not. If you listen to all the material on the DVD, that is made clear.

Wasn't his archive transfered to the Cooper kids?

Re: Brian 'Renfield' Nelson
Very sad news and I respect the privacy of the causes of death and the destiny of the archives.... How old was he? Was he married or had any kids?
Re: Brian 'Renfield' Nelson
Brian wasn´t married and had no kids.
He was a great guy and a good friend.
May he rest in peace.
