I hope his friends and family have read these posts, because it is patently obvious Brian had earned a huge amount of respect for the person he was and not just because of who worked for!

Respect to you 'Renfield' :(

My name is Pete and I have posted here a few times.
My wife and I lit a candle for Brian tonight at church tonight.
I am in utter shock and disbelief that Ren is gone.
When I went to Alice shows here in Memphis, or Syracuse,
Ren was always running around ducking in and out and he always had time for fans. He was always so cool to me when ever I stopped him to say hello to my fellow Upstate New york friend. And now his presence is gone.
I am completely devastated by this. Alice shows will NEVER be the same without him there. This is just so unbelievable.

God bless you Brian. My hearts go out to you and all your Family, and friends.

That's all I can really say at this point.

Can't believe that I will never see him scamper around the stage before the show making sure everything's perfect...
::((:

Unfortunatelly I only met him once when he picked me up for my meet and greet with Alice. He was very nice and patient answering all my fan questions I've had on the way to the backstage.

Thanks Brian.
I got a job in atlanta in a mall playing santa

Saddened (friend of Brians from years ago)

Post by DevlinWife » Sat Aug 15, 2009 9:59 pm

I was saddened to read that Brian passed away. I had found this site a while back and decided to visit it again today and read the news. It brought back a lot of memories from my youth.

My 2 friends and I went on tour several times with Alice Cooper. Our ability to do so was largely due to Brian and his own experience being a fan and wanting to meet Alice. He apparently never forgot what that was like and always had our backs when we were trying to get through security and such. He always made sure we were ok, had food/shelter, had the passes we needed to get backstage and be able to hang out at the venue during set up/break down, etc. Just an all around nice guy who never forgot where he came from.

LaDawna, my other friend, Emily and I spent a lot of time with Brian in those days, going from city to city to see Alice shows, and he was an absolutely terrific guy. A "real" person.

I have some pics of those days and Id like to post them here if that is ok.

Again, I was really saddened by this news, and I am going to call Emily and LaDawna (the other two Devlin Wives) and break it to them. Cheers to a super guy *raises glass*.

Thanks for leaving this on the top news, I hit the forum so infrequently (and haven't emailed him in so long) that I didn't realize Ren had passed away... six months ago. In the early days of the Sick Things online community he was a constant and I'm certain a great deal of information about Alice never would've been available if not for Brian's obsessiveness. Lord knows, Alice's memory isn't always accurate, but Brian's was. Sad news indeed. May he rest in peace.

A year already!
Yes, very much missed, I still look for his silhouette before and after concerts. I'm sure it will be so next week also.

Doesn't seem like it could have been a whole year, yet. Thoughts with his family, friends, and the whole Cooper tour family.

Hi, Just thinking of Renfield, still don't know what happened. Does anyone know how or why he died?

I think that if it hasn't been shared by now, we should respect the wishes of those who would like to keep it private.

Agreed. The family asked for privacy and we are respecting that.
