Alice at Monster Mania Convention

Post by queencooper » Tue Dec 30, 2008 3:42 pm

Just wanted to let everyone know that Alice was just booked for the Monster Mania Convention in Cherry Hill, NJ. The convention runs March 13th through March 15th and Alice will be there for all three days.

I was going for the Friday the 13th reunion, anyway, but this is just sick. I just bought my weekend pass!

If anyone knows how much he'll be charging per autograph, that would be great.

I'd consider hitting this one... wonder if Alice will be allowing pics too as he did at Horrorfind 5 years ago.

Can someone tell me how these types of events work? If I purchase a pass & attend, what next? Do we get into the "meet Alice Cooper" line and just wait our turn to meet him? That sounds too easy! Also, are you guarenteed to meet the celebrity you want to see?

I would love to go, but would hate to drive all that way and be disappointed.

Any info from previous attendee's would be great.

That's pretty much how it worked at Horrorfind.

I'm pretty sure there usually is some sort of cutoff... don't straggle in an hour before he's done signing for the day and expect to meet him. They'll probably stop allowing people to get in line at some point throughout the day.

My advice is to get there early to eliminate any potential issue of this sort.

I would think it helps that Alice will be there for 3 days so perhaps the crowds will be spread out throughout those 3 days somewhat.

We recently went to a Chiller Theatre Expo to meet Ace Frehley and they kept shutting down his line (due to fire codes). We waited for four hours to meet him and he charged a lot for photos and autographs - however, the fees are usually up to the artist to decide.

Thanks for the info everybody. The only time I've meet a musician or celebrity has been either backstage or a chance encounter, so I"m a bit green when it comes to all this.

Now, how do I get him to meet me for dinner later? haha Fat chance, unfortunately!
