I really hope that he, if some day gets nominated, refuses it. I don't think that after all those years putting him out, letting Bowie and some other artists get in before him, and all that stuff, he should just bowl to their will and act like it's importante. Let'em see he doesn't need'em to be one of the most important in rock history.
These good little shocks must be working I’m so happy now
The Hall of Fame is a joke. It will never be about anything more then politics. Its just sad that people think it's the be all and end all of musical talent.
It is nothing more then a group of critics opinions...they don't base their nominations on record sales, or record breaking outdoor venue shows, or stage performances. Its just who THEY like and nothing more. And so many people believe that they actually base their decisions on all these key factors and more.
I love the fact that Alice is not inducted.

I know! Obviously, Chic played a much more important and influential role in the history of rock n' roll than Alice Cooper did!! "The Freak, c'est chic" is a much more important song than "School's Out", "I'm Eighteen" and "No More Mr. Nice Guy"! Definitely!Dannorama wrote:I find it extremely illuminating that Chic (with their two big disco hits) are in before Our Man Alice.
Is that the Stooges as in Iggy? Because that's overdue with Alice Cooper.
It is a complete joke, I am past being able to comment on it really, there MUST be some sort of conspiracy going on, Alice is conspicuous by his absence in there. I'm speachless with it, what on earth could be the reason for Alice's ommission??

My guess the next one in is David Hasselhoff, at the rate they are going.......noods wrote:Who's gonna get the nod next? Nena, Boys Don't Cry, Plastic Bertrand or maybe Don Johnson.
I believe it was Woody Allen who said he wouldn't be part of any club that would have him, I hope if AC ever gets the nomination he tells them the same....
Don't know why i'm down here, must be something I said.......

Plus here are a couple of other gems of his that I personally enjoy;-
"Women should be obscene and not heard."
"Either he's dead or my watch has stopped."

Here's some others...
"I have had a perfectly wonderful evening, but this wasn't it."
"I never forget a face, but in your case I'll be glad to make an exception. "
"Practically everybody in New York has half a mind to write a book, and does. "
"The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing. If you can fake that, you've got it made. "
