David Bailey and Alice Cooper new on You Tube
I've just uploaded an excerpt from the BBC documentary about legendary photographer David Bailey featuring Alice Cooper and his photo shoots for Vogue and the Billion Dollar Babies album.
If you haven't seen it you are in for a treat, it is simply awesome and some of the best pictures ever taken of Alice who talks about the sessions, some great footage.

Well you were not wrong there steven. A rare treat indeed. I recall all the 'hype' of the time about it being real dough, (something I have always recounted to anyone who looks at the LP cover) and having Brinks Mat in attendance; so it is great to hear that all over again. Cheers.steven_crayn wrote: If you haven't seen it you are in for a treat, it is simply awesome and some of the best pictures ever taken of Alice who talks about the sessions, some great footage.
When life becomes more real than children's games
Or we've become too old to play them
My God.

Those pictures with Bailey are just classic. The pictures of Alice with the snake were brilliant and it shocked people back in 1972, to see pictures of a man wearing nothing but eye-liner and a boa constrictor! Especially when a billboard of one of those pics was in the middle of London during rush hour!
And the BDB pictures of Alice are fantastic too. The snake and BDB pictures are some of my all-time faves of Alice. Bailey did a great job of capturing Alice Cooper at his classic best.

Yes, I do remember that Richard Avedon did that infamous picture on that billboard. I got confused because they look similar to the ones that Bailey shows in this video. I guess both Avedon and Bailey shot pictures of Alice naked with a boa constrictor then.A_MichaelUK wrote:>Especially when a billboard of one of those pics was in the middle of London during rush hour!
Those were taken by Richard Avedon, I believe.
And I believe it was Avedon who shot the famous half-woman/half-man picture of Alice, right?

Yes and within a relatively short time of each other as well.

If it's the picture I'm thinking of, then yes, I think so.
