Here's a stupid question

Does anyone know the story behind the belt in this picture? That is a photo that I took of Alice in 2006. That belt has been with him longer than that, and he still wears it today. I gotta know! I gotta know!

No idea of the back story but the first time I think I saw it was the Brutal Planet tour. Happy to be corrected though.

Interesting! Here's a photo from the Dragontown tour in 2001. Not correcting you, Del - this is just the earliest photo that I could find. Notice the gothic lettering isn't there yet.
My guess is that only a handful of people know the back story, which is kind of curious. With the amount of time he's spent giving interviews, he's apparently never discussed this. It's such a statement piece - only one person in the world could get away with wearing it. Maybe this thread will inspire someone to ask.

I think you’re right. Can’t find anything from the BP tour now that I’ve looked.
New level of stupid question - I can see him using the buckle on at least two different belts. What’s that all about??

It’s probably a buckle cover rather than an actual buckle. So it could be worn on various belts
