UK Tour Build-Up

Post by del » Mon Oct 07, 2024 8:08 am

Not seeing much happening as we build up to next week’s shows apart from Suzi Quattro on morning TV talking about how she broke Alice’s nose and Schools Out apparently being played on Strictly. Wouldn’t exactly class them as planned though.

Anything I’ve missed or to look out for with Alice in the media?

Not that I've seen, but I would assume there will be more when he actually arrives in the UK.

Don't forget, for the Birmingham concert, there is a £8 per day congestion charge for certain vehicles, the charge runs from midnight to midnight, so don't be caught out by leaving it late.

who's support, i must be going daft cos i can't see anything listed? only thing i got from the venue was saying doors at 18:00 and show from 19:00 which sounds like at least 2 supports yet again.

tch, soon as i post that - primal scream, is that still correct? only one support?

UK opening acts were announced when the dates were announced, and are on every advert, and most venue ticketing sites. Also simply googling the shows would tell you.

Primal Scream and the Meffs are doing every show apart from London which is Glen Matlock and the Meffs.

The tour was announced on February 20th and the support acts were named when it was announced. As shown here for example, which includes the tour advert, also naming the bands:

Of course it was also all on the news page HERE the same day, which is archived here:

So, as I said, it WAS announced when the tour was announced.

Looking forward to tomorrow.

Up early, hit the driving range for 50 swings before making the 3 hour drive, check out some vinyl shops and lunch.

Will pop on here if I can find time for a pint wi folk pre-show, need to see what the wife says :rotfl: .

Normally I find my self staying on one side of Glasgow and walking to the other but this year its all in the vicinity of the Hydro.

Sorry I missed you. Was hanging about the merch stalls for about 25 mins before the start and then in the breaks. Went to the Ben Nevis after but only a few fans there as everyone seemed to go home. Monday night..
