Ridiculous price. This brings up my third issue, dynamic pricing. They are definitely using it in London and at the front of the Hydro as well just now, which has a few an around £190 just now. The pitch is that “it’s just market forces” but again it’s really just a complete rip off.Si wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 7:48 amVenue only shows a handful in the circle for Sunday, AEG is showing 5 VIPs near the front, but at £211 - nearly four times the face value. Yes, we've seen in the past AXS/AEG holding back decent tickets (or unsold VIPS) and then slowly releasing them in the run up to shows. Just another of their scams.

Ha try being in the want for Oasis tickets. 5 hours in a queue to be offered tickets at the back of a stadium for £350 each (x4)
Sadly I dont think the Oasis fuss and scrutiney that has followed will be the end of dynamic pricing. I put money on more likely Ticketmaster will now just need to display live pricing on their queing page, or something similiar.

Re: UK Ticket Sales
Played the long game for this Alice show and its paid off, centre 5th row, £75 each, nabbed 4 for a nice family night out.
Would rather just get them on a presale, but if this is how i have to do it then so be it, cant wait, going to be a bloody good night as usual.
(edit) I am so bloody hyped now...parrrrtaaay
Anyone fancy meeting up for a pint for the Glasgow gig? i'll be with family but a pint wont hurt

Re: UK Ticket Sales
Suffered exactly the same issue trying to get tickets for Oasis. A waste of time and no way was I paying that.
In 6th row in next block so not too bad from an early purchase. You might be on for a pint once I know when I’ll be able to get there.

Re: UK Ticket Sales
Just a quick question. Is the venue for the London shows seated or standing?
It is my first time there and I am not aware.
Thank you!

Re: UK Ticket Sales
How strict are they about Standing on your seats at this Arena?
Glad I was few rows up on Rear Center risers @ "Live" Casino.

Re: UK Ticket Sales
Assuming we are still talking about the London shows, it's NOT an arena, it's a theatre. And no, standing on the seats wouldn't be allowed, and would be difficult, at least last time I was there, as they are "flip" seats which you push down to sit - so not exactly a stable surface to stand on.Daggers & Contracts wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 3:30 pmHow strict are they about Standing on your seats at this Arena?

They are pretty keen to keep you standing at your seat as well so no rushing the stage, On top of that the front row seats are right against the stage so no room in front of them anyway.
Just watch the 'Brutally Live' DVD. Same venue.

Re: UK Ticket Sales
Thanks SI,
I just remember from many years ago that a Pat Travers/Rainbow show was so blocked by standing on folding steel chairs became disappointing shortly after we couldn't see the stage from our Paid Seats. Heard a bit of the opening, then we stepped out.Probably heard their music on the way home from Local radio station. DC101FM...

I always thought that even now they sell out in two or three days.del wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 5:57 amI’ve been looking across the AXS and Ticketmaster sights to see how ticket sales are moving. As normal it looks like we are heading towards half filled halls in Glasgow, Leeds and Manchester, and a bigger crowd in Birmingham. The concern is though that it looks like numbers are down on the last tour. Even for the two smaller shows in London you can still pick up a decent number of tickets on one of the nights.
Are we heading for these to be the last arena dates in the UK? A positive if you like the smaller venues but disappointing if you like to see Alice as still being an arena draw.
Re: UK Ticket Sales
Nah. Every year I have brough pre-sale tickets and ended up in a rubbish position 15 rowsback at the side with a view restricted by some something like a monitor or amp.
This year I waited until after I failed at the Oasis fiasco and got 4 tix dead on centre 7th row for face value. I know what I will be doing from now on, its a gamble, but it paid of the very 1st time i took it.

Will be at the Glasgow gig with my daughter and definitely up for a pint beforehand. Always great meeting likeminded fans.rgallie wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2024 11:11 pmPlayed the long game for this Alice show and its paid off, centre 5th row, £75 each, nabbed 4 for a nice family night out.

Birmingham tickets have been reduced to £34.10 & £39.70, a few decent ones left too by the looks of it-

Re: UK Ticket Sales
On a slightly different note, will Alice be getting a police escort to the venues?
Anything I say or write is my own personal opinion, no matter who agrees or disagrees with me.

Re: UK Ticket Sales
think i'll do similar next time - i try the presales and grab something if the seats look good cos i'm sick of the ****ing around ticket buying has become. i generally got Manch and Glasgae for Coop so next time i think i'll presale one and wait for the other. if i happen to miss out on the latter at least i'll get to see one show anyways.rgallie wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 6:42 pmNah.
