Theatre of Death 2 LP

Post by rgallie » Sat Nov 25, 2023 9:35 pm

Any truth to this? Theatre of Death to get a vinyl red 2 LP release/DVD

It came up on FB. There are no listed bootleg or official inyl releases on discogs. Apparantly this and another copy found in Germany, I cant find any copy.

The OP thinks its been put up for sale before official release but I would expect us to have heard about it by the time its in the stores hands.

Apparently, it is a thing and will be limited to 3,000 copies.

I reached out to Earmusic who said it's legit although did not give a release date, just that it's yet to be announced.

However I also found another copy, again in Germany and managed to order it so looking forward to hopefully having it ahead of release day.

I believe Earmusic is a German company so I can only assume a small number of independent record shops in Germany are getting early copies as good will, although that’s just my assumption.

This has finally just been announced by earMusic so should be easier for people outside Germany to get a copy!

The theatre of death live dvd/blu ray always had a bad sound mix for me, is the cd or vinyl any better or is it just a straight reproduction of the dvd? i found that the guitars lacked bite and the second guitarist (damon johnson was it?) sounds terrible, quiet and exceedingly limp. id love a beefed up version of it.

Has anyone heard this new LP to know if the sound mix is any better than the live bluray/dvd/stream? i think its a great set but one of the worst sound mixes of any of his gigs.

I have had the record since March 24. For me the sound is good. For me, based on the playlist, the best live record

on the live blu ray daemon johnsons guitar is really far down the mix and its always bothered me. Even jimmy degrasso drums have been sapped of their power. It always makes me think that they had issues with tech on the night and had to salvage a bad mix/performance
