From São Paulo/Brazil to New York to meet him and the OGs in 09, and Lisbon Portugal to see HV live in Rock In Rio 2016.
I was planning to go see him in the USA, probably florida to visit Orlando/Disney as I have to kids now, but unfortunately COVID got in the way.
May go next year, if everything goes well.
I would love to be able to see him close to home so often as many of you guys.
I also went to all of his Curitiba concerts here in Brazil, but that is only an hour trip by plane.

These good little shocks must be working I’m so happy now

Drove from Orlando to Knoxville in May. Wanted to see the whole show not the half show I knew he would be doing on the freaks tour in Tampa or the mess I imagined Rockville in Daytona would likely be. Second place for me we drove from Mansfield Ohio to Pittsburg to see the stones and from there to Pikeville KY to see alice. Yeah, I had to look up Pikeville too !

That's what I'm talking about!del wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 9:19 pmOk, how short a journey? I used to work in the building adjoining the Usher Hall in Edinburgh. My journey time to see Alice was approximately 30 steps. No sense of adventure at all.Daggers & Contracts wrote: ↑Tue Sep 26, 2023 11:41 pmI think you may have gotten the topic wrong... the prize is not how far away but, how near did he play?
Travel makes the Concert not just an event but, an adventure. Nothing wrong with that.
Who will top whom? I've never left the Free State for a show but, the last time I saw Alice he played less than 10 miles away & I had no traffic issues.
Well done!

I’m jealous of the people who’ve seen him in other countries. That would be a gas.Daggers & Contracts wrote: ↑Tue Sep 26, 2023 11:41 pmI think you may have gotten the topic wrong... the prize is not how far away but, how near did he play?

The farthest in miles would be 77-from Elkridge Md to Bristow VA for August 1996 show with Scorpions.
s to Gilford NH
The followup would be 55 miles from Elkridge to Fairfax. November 1986 with Vinnie Vincent Invasion.
Shortest trip are the last three shows I've seen; 14 miles. Much nicer!

In 2019, I travelled from Ireland to Phoenix to attend the Christmas Pudding Show.
Was a great show with the remaining original members of the ACG.
I highly recommend attending if you haven't done so.

Yeah. I was there last year. It was great, despite Sammy Hagar cancelling. Hoping for better luck this year.Voodoo Revolution wrote: ↑Fri Nov 17, 2023 2:53 pmIn 2019, I travelled from Ireland to Phoenix to attend the Christmas Pudding Show.
