“Road,” August 25, 2023
As mentioned in the ”New album and stage show” thread. The new album deserves its own thread!
HERE is the album teaser, courtesy of Holly Grail. Si already has the album cover on the Discography page, seen here:

This is exciting news. Alice (arguably) hasn’t put out new music since “Paranormal” in 2017.
If you’re like me, and plan on buying this album online, please remember to support this website by using the Amazon links provided on the homepage. Let the anticipation begin!

I think what he means is that both The Breadcrumbs and Detroit Stories featured several covers / re-invented versions of previously released songs, with neither sounding like all-new releases.
Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023
Yes! Amazing news! I'm so excited for this.
Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023
Bingo. Although those were cool records, they were not original Alice Cooper albums. (That’s why I said “arguably.”) I’m seriously looking forward to this new album of original songs.wind_up_toy wrote: ↑Thu Jun 08, 2023 8:28 pmI think what he means is that both The Breadcrumbs and Detroit Stories featured several covers / re-invented versions of previously released songs, with neither sounding like all-new releases.

Dead don't dance and White line Frankestein are two new titles
Where's my make-up, where's my face ?
Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023
Where did you see those titles? One thing that caught my eye was the formats: “The album is scheduled to come on CD, CD/DVD, CD/ Blu-Ray, Blood vinyl/DVD and Black vinyl/DVD.” Could it mean that we’ll get this album in surround sound? That’s wishful thinking, I’m sure. Either way, I’m in!

The album artwork looks fab. Another Frankenstein song?!! And there are 'guests': Kane Roberts; Tom Morello; Keith Nelson (Buckcherry); Wayne Kramer. Sigh. Hopefully no covers.
Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023
You are right again, Si. Oh, well. Maybe someday.
Here’s what I just saw on Amazon:
“…Throughout 2022, Alice collaborated closely with the members of his touring band as well as long-time producer Bob Ezrin, putting together what would become his brand-new studio album “Road.” You can feel the energy and lightness that the band brings with every riff and hear the story behind what inspired them. Bringing everything full circle, it channels the spirit of old school Alice with instantly recognizable grit and plenty of gusto. It’s everything you’d hope for from him and more. And this time his trusted longtime bandmates— Ryan Roxie [guitar], Chuck Garric [bass], Tommy Henrikson [guitar], Glen Sobel [drums], and Nita Strauss [guitar]—are riding shotgun. Kane Roberts (a touring and recording collaborator with Alice’s in years past who briefly rejoined Cooper on the road in 2022) makes a special guest appearance, contributing the raucous and rip-roaring “Dead Don’t Dance.” Other special contributors to the album include Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello, who co-wrote, and plays and sings backing vocals on "White Line Frankenstein," and Buckcherry's Keith Nelson and MC5's Wayne Kramer, who also co-wrote new songs with Alice.”

Is it definately hellfest? i have bootleg blu ray of that, its truly a great gig. but a shame its not a dedicated alice show and the slightly longer set.
I love the cover, this is the first alice cooper album cover i have legitimately liked since brutal planet!!!
Finally some thought has gone into it, rather than a trainee photoshop editor!
Im now excited! bring on the album, kane roberts guesting?! yes please!!!!
the snippet sounded fine but nothing i can get my teeth into to judge. fingers crossed tho!

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023
Its definitely unique on the discography page. It’s the first time using a color scheme like that, and I love the black widow. The whole image evokes an almost uneasy feeling, like “he’s driving, but where are we going?” (Would you get in a car with this man?) Looking forward to the ride.Saint&Sinner wrote: ↑Fri Jun 09, 2023 11:14 amI love the cover, this is the first alice cooper album cover i have legitimately liked since brutal planet!!!

I think the cover says don’t accept rides from strangers.
