It would be great if he recorded with Alice again too.

I rewatched The Nightmare Returns today for the first time in quite a few years. While the music wasn't very faithful to the studio recordings, it was definitely an energetic show, and the stage show was fantastic. I still think the "Teenage Frankenstein" robot trick is the coolest thing they've ever done.

He’s been writing songs with Alice and Bob Ezrin so i would think that he would be the perfect guy to record them, maybe some of them have already been recorded for the Road album, after all Kane is back on the Road with Alice come September!

I don't think he's going to make different sounding music. Every album Alice has made has been garage rock since 2004. He has made almost as many garage rock albums as he made hard rock albums from "Constrictor" through "Dragontown." I'm just glad I'll get to see Kane live.

W2MN and Paranormal garage rock? Not so sure.

I think they sound similar to his albums from 2004 to now.

Personal opinion I suppose but if you are actually going back to 2003 and TEOAC then I view that plus Dirty Diamonds as being garage, ACAS as a clear move away with W2MN and Paranormal very much produced and more clinical albums. I’d place DS as an attempt to feel rougher but still a long way from 2003/2005.

Kane? Really on the fence still. He was very much the second spotlight in the 80s and I hope we aren’t going back to that.

i was kinda hoping he would tear up the rule book again and do the hits in a totally different manor (like in the 80s) but i am happy he will essentially just slot into nitas position. i do like the versions of the songs these days with my only wish would be for a better drummer - like ken mary! (but you cant have it all!)

A BETTER DRUMMER?? Is this supposed to be a joke? Glen is an INCREDIBLE drummer.

He isn't bad, he just has a very flat uninspired style.
I have recently watched shows from nightmare returns, trashes the world, schools out/rock and roll carnival and the bare bones tour: so ken mary, Johnathan mover, jimmy degrasso and tommy clufetos - all of them play glen out the building, they each have a definite style and flair with technical expertise and showman ship that overshadows glen.
Glen is fine, but by far my least favorite drummer since back in the 70s (who were good just not my style and very of their time).

At a show show Glen's stick work is incredible!
Voted Best Drummer also.

Think it’s someone more flamboyant you are looking for. I’ve no problem with Glen at all. Yes, he could be more flashy but that’s exactly what I don’t want from this band. Thats what I was worried about with Kane coming back, too much in your face.
