If you've never read it, you can read Billion Dollar Baby by Bob Greene online at the Internet Archive. Create an account and you can borrow it online for 14 days. Lots of old books there and other archived media.

It's definitely worth a shot. A 1st person account by an established writer.
He played Santa for the Xmess leg of the tour & got pummeled by the band
every night so, he may have not the best perspective or connection to the ACG
as it stood.

I agree that it's worth getting. I consider BDB to be a very well written and informative book about the ACG, particularly the 'MOL era'.

I've read that the original band hates this book and considers that Bob Greene stirred up problems in the group for the sake of his story. But his account in the book fits pretty well with what we know about what happened in the aftermath.

I get that they think that it made them the scapegoats for the breakup, but I don't read it that way. I think they're all just playing their parts without realizing that the story line was no longer in their control.

Take it with a grain of salt, but I think it's a must-read for any fan.
