I think the article is rather misleading. Alice is obviously talking about the 1975 WTMN album being the blueprint for a possible stage musical, as he's been saying for the last 20+ years. This isn't something new he's written.

I remember reading about Alice's wish to bring the WTMNM show on Broadway in the NME about 25-28 years ago...
