Did it take anyone else a while to remember what each member played when you were getting into Alice? I didn't grow up in the 1970s. I always knew Michael Bruce was a guitarist.

It seemed much easier to know more about groups and albums in the early days. One new album could carry you for weeks. An album was more than just the music. Depending on the artist, the cover was also a very big part of the package - a detail that started waning in the CD years. The notes that they included on the cover (and if you chose well, the sleeve) often listed the player's names, their instruments, and so on. Alice Cooper was always good about letting you know who you were listening to. The occasional magazine helped as well.
