Alice as a performer

The only concert footage of the original Alice Cooper on dvd is from the Texas show on the Billion Dollar Babies Tour, and Alice is wearing a white suit. He wasn't that great on this show. He also isn't great on the Welcome to My Nightmare dvd. He's wearing a red suit and doesn't do the character that much. Was he better before this and after the Welcome to My Nightmare Tour? Has he been his best the last 20 years?

As far as a live singer and performer, his performances (in my opinion) got better in 1986 as he was clean and sober and continue to be amazing to this day.

I know in the book "Billion Dollar Baby" they said they toned down the act and stage show for the Holiday Tour.
