Having seen the trailers, I am so excited about this. I wonder if there will be anything different between the versions? There won't be a Finnish one so I suppose I need to get the UK BD version. At any rate I am thrilled that this thing is coming out so soon :)

There is a Wacken concert shot in HD on YouTube. Alice and the band sound great. Was the 2012 setlist, well a shortened version.

Definitely looking forward to this. I appreciate good audio too, however what I heard on those YouTube videos doesn't dissuade me from high anticipation for this release.

Interesting that this states that the 2CD version will have the "full show" while the DVD/CD version we know doesn`t. Could be the two missing tracks WILL be released in the 2CD, or could be the journalists mistake. If correct it would make sense as why would you split material onto 2 CDs if it fits on one CD for the DVD set.

Andy, any chance you know someone who would be able to confirm the track listings for the various formats?

I read that as simply stating the full show is included on 2CDs rather than implying there are different versions. As far as I can tell there's no single CD version, all versions (DVD or BluRay) have 2CDs. See formats on UDRs website: http://www.udr-music.com/index.php/alicecooper-band .

Could be. Maybe I'm just confusing their defining the releases as DVD/CD vs 2CD and stating the 2CD will be the full show. As I said it's possible the writer doesn`t know that the two tracks have been dropped from the DVD.

But having said that surely by cutting the two songs you don`t need a 2CD set for it?
As the rules about doing covers differ between an audio release and a film release I was kinda hoping that the CD WOULD be the full show. It's happened before with Brutally Live where the CD release was cut to fit on one CD.
Probably just getting confused about all these differing formats

I think they mean "full show" as in the "same that's on the DVD" and not cutting any additional tracks (as on the Brutally Live or Montreux 2005 CDs) or making cuts in the songs (as on the Theatre of Death CD). They might still need 2CDs with 22 songs, after all the "No More Mr Nice Guy Live" album had 21 songs and 2CDs.

But I see what you mean in that it sorta sounds like the CD version might include the cut songs.

I'm sorry if I'm being stupid but what exactly are the 2 versions currently on Amazon UK? I assume one is the CD/DVD and the other the CD/Blu-Ray?

Good question. It is kinda unclear. I was assuming one was DVD/CD and the other the 2CD!
Afriad I kinda forget all about BluRays as I can`t play them :s

Thanks, I guess we'll find out soon.

They're certainly asking good money for the more expensive of the 2!

I think Amazon corrected itself...when you clickon the Audio CD Raise the Dead for USA, it has a listing now of 3 discs...I assume 2 cds and the dvd/bluray?

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... hingsuk-20

Unless we are still waiting for a separate listing of a dvd/bluray too?

I'm confused too. I followed the link on the home page here and all I can see is Blu-ray or audio cd? Ah well, it will probably get resolved at some point.

According to one Finnish record store website the set will contain DVD plus the whole show on 2CDs. The website has a track listing of both DVD and the CDs. All of the covers are included on the second CD. Killer segment that precedes I Love The Dead is not listed as its own track but I'm sure it is included. There are two versions of Raise The Dead Live From Wacken DVD/2CD and Blu-Ray/2CD.

Here is the link to information I just offered:

Thanks.
That seems to confirm what I was suggesting (badly) earlier. Full show in audio but cut show in film.
