Cool kid. Thanks for the link, daytripper.

All my child did was draw Alice once in class and got in trouble at school for it.

It's weird, that's for sure. But I remember when it happened and he posted. I'm still surprised the teacher was quite so bothered by it.

My 10 year old said that the other day in music class the teacher asked if there were any rock bands that they would like to study. My son told me that most of the bands that the kids named were 70s bands and the teacher told them that they were stuck in the 70s. I found it funny that a bunch of 4th graders named 70s bands. Anyway, my son and one other kid both suggested Alice Cooper. The teacher said she didn't know if they could listen to Alice and said she'd have to check some of the language first. I told my son that that was funny, because Alice really doesn't swear in any of his songs, and I also told him that if his teacher didn't know that then she obviously doesn't know her music history very well.

She seems like a perfectly normal, well adjusted kid
Its a shame her parents won't let her on fansites though, I'm sure she could tell Andy a thing or two! (only joking).
Funnily enuff, when my youngest was a baby and started grizzling and crying, as they do, the only thing that stopped him was Brutal Planet, he'd soon be gurgling and smiling again!

Heck no, there's lots to be said about trumpets. I've tickled the keys a few times in my youth in school bands and such.

My daughter's drawing just drew some stares from the teacher and there were some questions about it. I can see where the school's coming from, I suppose, but she just draws that stuff at home now.

Didn't do too many rockers on the trumpet but I could give you the Raiders Of The Lost Ark theme in double time.

With solo. ;)

:rotfl: You guys are so funny.
I have noticed lots of kids wanting to know..."Who sings that song"...all from the 70's. Im glad , I really enjoy talking about stuff I know.
There just isnt a lot of good music for them . Not like we had. I think my generation hit the jack pot myself. We had the rocking 70's to grow up with and learned about the 60's....here we are with all this useless information. But we sure know how to rock. :8):

I'm just glad that while I wasn't around in the 70s, so many of them are still putting out good music and touring so I didn't totally miss out!

and some of them even go out with coop, like blue oyster cult and cheap trick.those are my favorite kind of shows as opposed to a local band like you see so often opening for our hero!
notso, that's an awesome pic of you with alice,I'm very envious.the closest I've come is getting his autograph through friends who've met him and were nice enough to remember me!
someday I'll hopefully meet him....maybe I'll bring my trumpet and play the brass part of welcome to my nightmare for him! ;)

Definitely, those are great line ups. The reason I went to my first Coop show was because Cheap Trick was the opener...and 2 years later I went to a CT show with BOC opening, and the next weekend Alice, with BOC opening! (and I was lucky enough to see shows with Rudy Sarzo on bass....damn, he's awesome!)

And thanks for the picture compliment, Scotty. That was in Vegas, this past September. And Alice's smile is due to the Red Vines I had just given him.
