Sick Things bkgd vocals

Post by Dannorama » Sat Apr 27, 2024 1:22 am

Howdy.

At the end of the song “Sick Things,” there is an atonal, kind of disaffected but monstrous background vocal, mirroring the lead… “you whet my appetite…” Zat you?
While we’re at it, is that you at the end of “I Love the Dead”? Sounds like the bkgd vocals are “Ding a dong ding dong.”

Consider me your faithful listener,

I always LOVED that bit! Just high enough in the mix that you hear it if you are listening properly but would miss it otherwise.

It was Doo Wop influenced. I think it was our roadie Artie King because he had a low voice.
