Question(s) That Bug You

Hey Dennis,

Your generosity in engaging with the fans on here got me wondering if there's anything you're sick of being asked over the years? Are there certain things that come up and you think, "Not this again" or is there a type of dumb question that sporadically rears its ugly head?

Thanks

This is the dumbest question I've ever heard!
I'm joking.

Back when I was in dyer need of health insurance and hadn't been told that I should have been covered through AFTRA, I became the General Manager of a very popular "mom & pop" chain of video stores. I did that for 10 years. And during that 10 years, every customer that came in said, what's new?
It's a harmless question, but when you hear it a thousand times a week, it made me cringe while I struggled for a polite response.

At this point, I've been getting questions about Alice Cooper for over 50 years so they do tend to be repetitive. But they always come from people that care about what we did, as opposed to someone that just wanted me to hand them the latest video release. And so it takes a lot to bug me.

I've done autograph signing events, after show Meet and Greets, and toured the book festival circuit. Some involve long weekends of meeting people with lots of the same questions. I can honestly say that I enjoy it.

Every once in a while, someone that's been waiting in a long line, will get their turn to meet me, and be so excited that they'll become speechless. Cindy and I swing into action and try to make them feel comfortable.

One repetitive thing that I didn't expect, are the stories that people tell me about an original Alice Cooper group show they attended. Their stories often begin with what kind of car they were driving, what friends went with them, and even the highway they took.
The funny thing is, when the story gets to the part when they arrived at the show, the details get very foggy. Aw! Concerts in the '70's!

All of that said, there are a couple of questions that annoy me.
"Why did I stop playing in Alice's band?" and "Why don't I get back together with Alice?"

It wasn't Alice's band.
It was our band.
I never left.
And I've always done whatever I can to reunite us.

I should add that I'm pleased with all of the questions in this forum, and I don't mind if some of them are a bit edgy.

Wasn't the ACG a bit "edgy" in the first place? :/
Thanks for all of your contributions Dr. D.
