Dennis,

I read what you said about the Hollywood Bowl show in your book.

If you'd like to comment on this excellent version of Halo of Flies...

Thanks

Obviously, it was a landmark night for us, showing Hollywood that we had honed our craft and finally created that new thing we had been striving for.
We proved that we could play and, on that night in particular, felt like we gave the Ringling Bros.- Barnum and Bailey Circus a run for their money about being the greatest show on earth. Of course, we didn't really think that. They had elephants and we only had a camel.
As for "Halo", that's pretty much how the song usually went. Most of our shows were us trying to concentrate on playing while watching out for flying objects and props to stumble over in theatrical lighting. That was our choice. For us, a live show was more than proving we could play the songs we had recorded. It was an event full of spontaneity.
