Hey Dennis,
Thanks once again for engaging with us on here and sharing all this fascinating information.
I was wondering if your path ever crossed that of fellow bass players who were riding on the wave at the same time as you? I was especially curious about those that were big in the British scene:
Steve Priest - The Sweet
Trevor Bolder - The Spiders from Mars
Jim Lea - Slade
Did you have any interest in their work at the time?

Re: Fellow Bass Players
I admire all of their work, but I guess we were all doing our own tours back then.
Paul Samwell-Smith and Chris Hillman in 1966.
Roy Estrada in 1969.
Steve Priest at one of his shows in 2013.
Nikki Sixx in 2014.
Pete Way in 2019.
Noel Redding, which I talk about in my book. And with Roger Waters (also in my book).
Suzi Quatro in the Detroit daze.
Tony Shanahan, Mike Watt, Ray Brown, and more.
But you have to know that, outside of close friends, I was a very quiet guy up until the 80's.

Re: Fellow Bass Players
Would you happen to know any top-notch bass guitar players from Iceland? Or as they say - bassagítarleikaris.Dreary wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 10:46 pmI admire all of their work, but I guess we were all doing our own tours back then.

What you want and what you get are two different things
Re: Fellow Bass Players
That's right. Silli Geirdal of Dimma is an excellent bassist and has a frighteningly powerful stage presence.
