Hi Dennis,

I really love your book. It’s especially wonderful to hear you tell your stories in the audiobook. I’m listening to it for the third time now. Thank you for that!!

Has there been any talk that you know about making an Alice Cooper biopic? I think your book screams for adaptation. There’s enough material in there for a great series!

I'm glad that you like the audiobook. People have suggested using it as a guide for a script of some sort but I haven't heard from any film companies. Maybe some day.

Love the book and find it very entertaining although I notice this is done with a lot of other books recently and that is it has no index. Is there a reason why? Thanks.

I'm not sure why we didn't have an index. I can look into that. I'd guess it was due to the cost of the extra pages, or because we ran up against a deadline, or perhaps we didn't want to omit any more stories to accommodate that. I turned in 135,000 words and got a standard first author's deal for 90,000 words. So whittling it down and still making it flow in time for the presses was a mad marathon.

So that means a lot of your stories didn't make it into the book.
Is that correct?
Does the audio version include more stories than the print version or is it you reading the print book?

Yes, there are plenty of stories waiting to be told, even though my book has all that was needed to achieve my goal, which was to re-establish fair credit to the original group as a full-throttle collaboration. And to shed insight into how much fun we had creating Alice Cooper as the first arena show.

Hi Dennis!
I'm currently translating your book to french, because I firmly feel that it deserves a french release.
First day buyer, I've read it a good dozen times, I can't get enough of it.

I contacted a publisher ("Camion Blanc", specialized in rock bios) but the guy told me they don't need translations for the time being. I don't care, I'm still working on it. It's a labour of love, I tell ya!!

Anyway, just wanted to let you know.
You take care, good sir.

Phil, I'm glad you like my book. It was a labor of love for me as well. It has been translated into German by a company that negotiated a licensing deal with my publisher Thomas Dunn/Saint Martin's Press. That's who you should talk to about doing a French translation. Perhaps they know of a publisher in France that would want to take it on.

It would be nice to release my entire book, even though, it fully achieves my goals as is. Cindy is working on her book, which will have lots of insightful unheard stories from her daily diaries. Writing new songs is my priority now.

Having read the book when it first came out, i finished listening the audio book yesterday and it’s amazing how much more sticks in my head than the written word. I didn’t want the book to end, and it would be great to have some more behind the scenes stuff.

There was Detroit Stories, but how about an album called DD Stories, with music interlaced with the spoken word, as a way of marketing more stories?

Cindy and I have been doing podcasts and radio interviews, which are mostly stories with their related songs.

Dennis I have to say that your book is one of my favorite rock’s roll biographies. I’ve yet to hear the audiobook and I’ll do that as soon as I get a chance to. I really enjoyed every minute of it.
