Re: Alice's Band Mates: An Appreciation
I’m enjoying Crossbone Skully. Lots of AC/DC in there plus a fair bit of love for a whole range of bands, including Def Leppard. Nothing ground breaking but it’s engaging, has energy and it’s strong overall for me. Is that not the thing about Tommy though? Very enthusiastic, very capable, likeable p...

I'm in for that. If they have captured it right it will be great.

Just to be different - a road theme.
A mash up with Long way to go and 100 more miles.

Re: Alice's Band Mates: An Appreciation
So far, from the current band we have mentioned Nita, Ryan, Chuck and Glen but no Tommy. Interesting that he seems to have really got into the fabric of Alice’s world but isn’t mentioned, either as a player or contributor.

Re: More stats anyone?
I haven't used the platform in a while, but back when I did, iTunes was used to buy songs and play local files. Is this still the case, or has it been integrated into other Apple platforms? I notice there's a different list of stats for Apple, which I assumed was for their streaming platform (Apple...

Re: More stats anyone?
Don’t argue with any of that and would add a few more thoughts. It’s increasingly possible to drill down on most of the stats to link to other activities such as tours, radio play, commercials tv appearances etc. it’s patchy for most acts still but it’s getting better by the week. Not sure which cha...

Re: What album best represents the full catalogue?
My initial thought was that it is impossible but when pushed into a corner B$B became the obvious choice. Other than the blackout albums I see links and themes from here to all other parts of the catalogue. IMO, there isn’t actually an album (including live or compilation) which genuinely represents...

What album best represents the full catalogue?
I was asked yesterday that if only one album could be put forward as best representing the full catalogue of Alice Cooper what would it be. I wasn’t allowed to use live or compilation albums. My favourite for years has been School’s Out and I have WTMN and Killer in my current top three and the othe...

Re: Constrictor & AI
Absolutely doable, the tools have been there for a few years already. Just needs the desire and some time and money. Synthtopia is one of the tools but there are several others out there and they are being improved all the time. And AI is already being used to suggest ‘updates’ to old books into mod...

Re: More stats anyone?
Maybe worth a joke or two but as I said, this is what it’s all about now. It’s evidence of popularity and ultimately its income.

More stats anyone?
A friend has access to a load of global stats on various platforms. Whether we like it or not, this is where it matters nowadays and there is some really interesting data there. Most interesting thing to me is the sheer breadth of countries. It doesn't matter to me if there are 50 or 50 million peop...

Re: Hellfest 2022
Another grandpa here, although not as grumpy. (Well, maybe sometimes.) It has always irked me that these keyboard warriors are very loud when they’re protected by anonymity. My approach has only ever been, “don’t type anything that you wouldn’t say to their face.” Comedians who laugh at their own w...

Re: YouTube views and Spotify Streams
Meant to point out that 922 million streams will be something like $3.7m income to be split. Not much per play but it all adds up eventually.

Re: YouTube views and Spotify Streams
There are many drivers behind the stats and you can analyse everything to a ridiculous level e.g. Daily streams per country run against the touring schedule to detect waves of interest as Alice moves around. There are apparently a few facts that stand out each year 1. Every new release, every tour a...

And here is Spotify. Pretty clear across YouTube and Spotify that it’s far more Alice solo than ACG and that it’s Poison which is the lead for most. Song Title "………………………………….Streams (year) ………….Daily (5.3 million monthly listeners) Poison. "………………………………………..350,719,458 …………………………195,713 School's Ou...

Re: "Road" - Reviews
I may be in the minority , but Road is the best album since Dirty Diamonds. I am Alice, Welcome to the Show, Frankenstein, Big Boots, Baby please don't go, Dead don't dance, The Big Goodbye are classics. I didn't think Road Rats would be good, thought it would be a waste. But is done differently an...
