Re: What Was The First Alice Cooper Album and Single You Bou

I was on holiday with my family in Gloucester in 72 and allowed to watch TOTP while my parents and relatives hit the home made wine in the dining room. Two long time relationships started that night. Hawkwind and Alice. Bought Schools Out from a small record shop in Cheltenham the next day. Also got...

Re: Hollywood Vampires Gigs - "Count me in" or "Not a chance

I'm Glasgow based myself and while I'd love to see HWV play here I can't see it happening. Looks like it's Europe somewhere or not at all.

Hollywood Vampires Gigs - "Count me in" or "Not a chance"?

So, the number of HV dates is growing but is the enthusiasm?? Personally, I am coming to the view that its my duty to attend one somewhere but I just can't get too excited. So at the moment I'm a counting myself in. Anyone else or is it a resounding "not a chance"? ::((:

Re: Swindon - last minute decision

Four days on from the Glasgow journey and I can report that I'm still delighted that I made the effort. Great crowd, great support and great show overall! I'm not a covers fan either but thought they worked ok this time round. What I really liked was the chat with the fans before and after the show....

Re: Swindon - last minute decision

Swindon is 3000 and Plymouth is @4000. Both sold out no problem. Admittedly not arena size but I like them intimate anyway. Once again, did we ever expect to see this 30 years ago? Celebrate positive news as he is doing a hell of a lot better than many acts on the road just now.

Swindon - last minute decision

Having read all the "same set-same show" comments over the last few weeks I was really losing interest in the UK shows and was wondering whether I'd bother going along ever again. Then my good lady came along and brought me to my senses when she asked if I didn't have that deep rooted love for the m...

Re: HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES TRACK LISTING REVEALED

Si, can we create a 'quiet room' thread where people who want to spat over anything and everything have it out among themselves and everyone else can drop in when they want a laugh? TEDIOUS!! Anyway back on topic. I've loved AC, group AND singer, for 44 yrs now and will no doubt continue to do so ti...

Re: HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES TRACK LISTING REVEALED

Pleasantly surprised on first listen. Thought the segue into the last chorus from another brick was a bit clunky but maybe because I'm only listening on my phone's speaker.

Got a line - 6
Schools out - 7
DDF - 7.5

Just glad to hear something from this....finally!!

Suck and Wayne's World for me. Then Sgt Pepper and Nightmare on Elm St as there was barely anything worth rating!

Re: Alice Cooper album sales, USA

I'm interested too, but worried. Just can't get enthusiastic about the album yet.

Anyway, this thread is about sales. Anyone got anything remotely as detailed as this for other countries esp UK, Canada and across Europe?

I'm going to the Edinburgh gig on Wednesday. Saw Beasto Blanco there earlier this year and if it's half as good as that it will be a great show.

Re: it really is Super Duper

Watched the Q and A session for the film premier last night on You Tube and thought Alice's "he is difficult to contact sometimes" response to the where is Michael question was a bit lame. Shame that for whatever reason he didn't get his share of the focus. Highlights for me, the very early years an...

Re: it really is Super Duper

Just back from one of the Glasgow showings and have similar thoughts to Si. Enjoyed the film a lot but but it left a really bad taste to see so little reference to Glen and Michael. What happened there?

>Lesson 1 - Don't get carried away with Alice's stated intentions as it never quite happens that way... I wonder if you will end up having to repeat that as often as I seem to have to. I will if I have to!! As my wife says - "If you did half of what you say you will you will be twice as good as any...

Re: Disappointed by the show: a question

So, lets summarise... We all have a little disappointment at not getting the show that was hinted at BUT this has happened before and will no doubt happen again. Lesson 1 - Don't get carried away with Alice's stated intentions as it never quite happens that way... We all have different wants regardi...

Re: Disappointed by the show: a question

I too am a fan of 40 years and will see the show tonight at Wembley and in Edinburgh on Halloween. I have no doubt that he will not disappoint as I go for the music and the band is simply great at the moment. Tonight is gig 27 and I have never been disappointed. Sure, Alice himself has set false exp...

We will be getting into Edinburgh around 4 and hitting a pub after that. Was going to head to a pub around Haymarket anyway so won't be far away..
