Re: Live at Glasgow '82 - 2lp RSD 20202
I don’t play this often but even the thought of the gig is enough to bring some of the emotion of the night back. Found the Special forces T-shirt I bought at the gig when I was looking out a shirt for the recent gig in Glasgow. Gave me two thoughts. 1) Not in a million years would I have expected t...

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023
Destroyer was the album that introduced me to Kiss but I didn’t stay for long as despite listening to a few of their albums over the years they did nothing for me. Apart from about half of Alive, the Elder was the only other album that I remotely enjoyed and strangely that was Ezrin as well.

Re: Muscle of love expanded
Just listened. Enjoyed it. Felt a bit raw but that made it for me. I’m not a fan of deluxe albums which dump everything they can find on you. If this is typical of MoL then I’m in for it.

Re: Here's a stupid question
No idea of the back story but the first time I think I saw it was the Brutal Planet tour. Happy to be corrected though.

Not quite the thread here I know but imagine what might have come next if Love at Your Convenience was a big hit….

Re: Alice Cooper Setlist/New Tour Comment
Agree about the opening. What might have seemed like a good idea doesn’t really come off for me. I thought Alice was in the zone in Glasgow but Ryan looked on autopilot sometimes and more focussed on his party trick of throwing and catching his plectrum (it is quite cool though). Only other niggle f...

Re: Were There Any Alice Songs You Were Surprised Didn't Become Hits?
Gimme or Blow Me A Kiss. If either of these had hit it may have resulted in Alice’s industrial phase lasting a bit longer. Loved Brutal Planet.

Re: UK Tour Build-Up
Sorry I missed you. Was hanging about the merch stalls for about 25 mins before the start and then in the breaks. Went to the Ben Nevis after but only a few fans there as everyone seemed to go home. Monday night..

Will be a bit delayed but will be in the Hydro for about 7. Will be hanging about for a pint in my finest red Dragontown tour TShirt with the four faces of Alice on the front.Would be good to meet some Sickthings.

UK Tour Build-Up
Not seeing much happening as we build up to next week’s shows apart from Suzi Quattro on morning TV talking about how she broke Alice’s nose and Schools Out apparently being played on Strictly. Wouldn’t exactly class them as planned though. Anything I’ve missed or to look out for with Alice in the m...

Re: Too Close For Comfort European Tour
I’d wanted to go to Paris for this gig as the atmosphere there for the HV show last year was great due to the standing space and the younger audience. As it turns out I just didn’t have the time or the cash. Glad you enjoyed it.

Re: UK Ticket Sales
Suffered exactly the same issue trying to get tickets for Oasis. A waste of time and no way was I paying that.
In 6th row in next block so not too bad from an early purchase. You might be on for a pint once I know when I’ll be able to get there.

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023
I think the days of a huge surprise are long gone. Rock isn’t what it used to be. It would though be a nice thing for the long time fan. I think you’ve summarised correctly. To me, it would certainly be nice to see and would potentially be the final statement from the OGs. More interesting for Alic...

Re: UK Ticket Sales
Good to hear but I see there are over 20 front stalls seats available plus a few VIP tides left on Sunday. Probably just the usual drip feed of extra seats by AXS and Ticketmaster. Almost there… Venue only shows a handful in the circle for Sunday, AEG is showing 5 VIPs near the front, but at £211 -...

Re: UK Ticket Sales
Agree as well but it’s also the half full arenas that pull the atmosphere down. On one hand it’s great to see that Alice has actually rebuilt attendances in the UK over the last 20 years or so. I remember the Barrowlands gigs in Glasgow in the late 1990s. A fantastic 2,000 capacity venue and great a...

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023
I jammed this album a lot when it came out, but admittedly hadn't touched it in quite a few months before this last week. With the excitement of seeing Alice again, I gave it another listen, and it still holds up well. I said a couple pages ago that The Big Goodbye was the best song by a wide margi...

Re: UK Ticket Sales
I’m going to revise my position a little on this now. With six weeks or so to the Glasgow gig I’m told there are more tickets sold than last time. As usual, there will be some draw for the support but I don’t think Primal Scream will get more than the Cult or the Stranglers previously. So, good news...

Re: ACAS Archives
Sorry, while I remember playing the pinball game and accessing photos (which I lost too) I have no recollection of the ringtones. At least you should be able to recreate them and download them to your new phone though.
