Re: Alice Cooper "The Only Two People In The World Who Understand "Alice Cooper" The Character Are BOB EZRIN And Myself"

I could be misremembering, but I'm sure Alice has talked about this in the past, in relation to vocals and lyrics. He thinks that Bob has great insight into how the Alice Cooper character should be presented, and how he should approach and deliver certain lines, melodies etc when recording. Don't kn...

Re: Your go to Live DVD

Haven't watched a live DVD in a fair while, so the more recent ones haven't had much screen time from me. I got a lot of mileage out of Brutally Live and Trashes the World back in the day though (especially Brutally Live).

Re: Fall 2021 Tour Setlist

Glad to see Go Man Go in the set. I imagine that'll have some good energy and drive. Would've liked to see how Wonderful World works live, but it's still early days - hopefully some more songs can be worked / rotated in on future legs.

I was going to ask about the Alice pre-sale. Has the tour been announced by Alice yet? Maybe tomorrow with a pre-sale link?

Don't have anything too rare to be honest. It'd probably be the Japanese version of A Fistful of Alice.

Re: I Love America

Make That Money would be good live I think. An instrumental jam with a couple of these songs could work too (leading up to, or in place of, the drum solo perhaps).

Re: The Best Alice lyric

I think the lyrics to My God are well written. I've also always liked Nothing's Free as well, particularly these lines:

Sign upon the dotted line
I'll be yours and you'll be mine
Nothing's free
Eventually

Sign upon the bloody line
A drop of yours, a drop of mine
Nothing's free
Eternally

Re: The Worst Alice lyric

These lyrics from '(In Touch With) Your Feminine Side' are dreadful; I shudder when I hear them and not a shudder in a scared way! There's a few lines on this album that I think are pretty bad. Alice hyped the concept so much that I was hoping for some really clever lyrics (and there are some that ...

Re: Chris Sutton book

+1 for really enjoying the book. Only up to Love It to Death track by track, and can't wait to get stuck into the classics.

As above, this also made me revisit Pretties for You, but only because I realised I could barely remember how some of the songs sounded.

In the UK: #3 on the physical album chart - https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/physical-albums-chart/ #3 on the sales chart - https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/albums-sales-chart/ (I'm assuming this is CD/vinyl/digital combined) #6 on the vinyl chart - https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/vi...

Only Women Bleed - full version not available digitally?

Apologies if this has been brought up before, I did do a search (although couldn't get advanced search to work) and didn't see anything. I've been listening to music via Spotify a lot more recently as my iPod has died and my CDs are in storage. I've noticed that "Only Women Bleed" is only available ...

Re: Touring band to feature on next album!

Perhaps I'm misremembering, but I'm sure Alice said something along the lines of 'recording in the venues we're playing at', but I took that to mean at soundchecks or something. Can't help but feel that if the plan was to record during the live show, it'd have been phrased differently.

Re: Detroit Stories Review

Yeah that's the first thing I thought when I heard it. The skittish energy, vocal delivery and group shouts in the chorus remind me of the early '80s material.

Does the solo in "Shut Up and Rock" remind anyone else of the solo "Steal That Car"? As soon as I heard it I thought it sounded pretty similar.

Re: Touring band to feature on next album!

That whole meeting was hilarious.

Think Alice also mentioned the songs could be about being on the road. We can have songs about things like everyone rooming as far away from Glen as possible.

Re: Detroit Stories Review

^ I agree that the Breadcrumbs tracks sounded better on the EP. Are they the same recordings or have they been reworked a little? I think it's a good album. Still early days but probably on par with Paranormal . Early highlights at the moment for me are "Independence Dave" (get a little bit of an ea...

Re: Alice Songs You Like More Than Most Other Fans Do

Loads of great songs already mentioned. Some I haven't seen yet: Six Hours - I love how subdued it is, evokes a really desolate sort of vibe, before exploding into the amazing solo at the end. My God - has a grandiose feel, plus some superb lead work. Love Should Never Feel Like This - nice, melodic...

Phil X talking about contributing to Brutal Planet

Did a search and didn't see anything about this. Just stumbled across a video on Youtube of Phil X (current playing guitar with Bon Jovi) talking about doing session work on Brutal Planet . He goes through some of the stuff he played on the title track and "Eat Some More". https://www.youtube.com/wa...
