February 28th 2023 - the 80s , definitely looking forward to this book
Awesome news. Hoping the coverage is more like the early 70s album from the previous book. The later 70s albums didn't have as much detail or interesting stories.

How legit / well sourced are the Kane rumours?

Re: Setlist

So we've gone from three new songs per set to none. Bit of a shame.

Wondering if this is a Greece only thing. I seem to remember they randomly got Bed of Nails about 20 odd years ago. Are they big into the Trash album over there?

Re: Setlist

So if setlist wiki is to be believed, Shut Up and Rock was dropped for Be My Lover (perhaps only until full length sets come back). I don't think it sounded that great to be honest, so I don't think it's a big loss (other than the fact that it's a new song dropped from the set).

Re: Setlist

Same set in Brum this evening. Thought the sound and the crowd was better than in Manc. Also, Ryan played the main lick from Six Hours just before I'm Eighteen. Has he done that at any other shows? I think he was just killing a bit of time whilst someone else got ready, but still... that's probably ...

Re: Kane

Maybe Alice has resurrected The Night Shift project, and he's going to work with past collaborators to give each song a unique feel that would enhance the concept.

This has a 99.9% chance of not being true (0.01% margin of error).

Re: Setlist

This had always been touted as a co-headline tour, so it shouldn't be a surprise that The Cult get the same set length as Alice. I had a look on the Swansea Arena Facebook page, and both Alice and The Cult were alloted 75 minutes. Judging by the Facebook vids from the US shows, Alice has been doing ...

Re: Touring band to feature on next album!

I think Ryan, Tommy and Chuck have all shown enough on previous albums / with their other projects to suggest they could write another great album with Alice (especially Ryan). Nita I'm less sold on, but perhaps she'll work well in conjunction with others, and her lead guitar work will be an asset I...

Re: Setlist

I notice Alice mentioned playing different songs every night in the UK, and it obviously got the mind running wild with all sorts of fanciful (but unrealistic) possibilities. Of course, as alluded to by Si on the new page, I imagine this'll just be songs that tend to be in and out of rotation anyway...

Just seen an ad shared on the SickThings Facebook group suggesting the Astroturf live EP and documentary being released Aug 26. Hopefully this is the case.

Re: Setlist

So, if setlist.fm is to be believed, unless there's been a mistake, Lost in America and Go to Hell are in, My Stars, Devil's Food and Is It My Body are gone (DF perhaps counted under the Black Widow umbrella).

So you'd probably have to think the 2022 album will be The Road. But the other one... that has me intrigued.

Re: The last temptation with bonustracks

Sorry to bump an old(ish) topic, but just had a thought. Ozzy recently reissued some of his albums on digital services with some hard to find bonuses (eg No Place for Angels on Down to Earth , demos on No More Tears ). As far as I know, there's no physical copies of these reissues with these bonuses...

Re: Road Album

I think Tommy will be heavily involved with most of the songs, and will work with the others to shape their ideas into the music we'll get. Just a feeling I have based on him having a lot of credits on the last few AC / HV albums. I think Alice and Bob would trust him to put a lot of the pieces toge...

Re: Fall 2021 Tour Setlist

I wasn't keen on the idea of Fallen in Love in the set until I saw it live the other year. I thought it worked really well. Had a good groove that got the head moving. IIRC, there was also a cool moment at the end where the band all came together on stage, but I might be thinking of a different song.
