I think a lot of the material on this album could be played live because it really would fit well into the current Alice show.

It doesn't even sound like a band. It sounds like Alice in the middle of a bunch of sfx. I would relate it to a movie filled with useless CGI. Looks fake and is uninteresting to me. This album sounds more old school than a lot of the stuff Alice has recorded from 1980 onward, so I fail to see the C...

Re: I don't like the new album

Remember guys, this is just my opinion and i'm not forcing it upon you! And I count no less than 4 threads where you're not forcing your opinion on us. ;) I think you'll find that i have simply voiced my opinion. It doesn't matter to me if anyone agrees with it or not. It certainly doesn't bother m...

Re: I don't like the new album

I'm just really disappointed by the whole thing, Really? I never would have guessed. if only Ezrin had got his hands on this, we could have had a little gem on our hands. Hard to imagine Ezrin could have ressurrected this "shoddy" album since according to you everything from the songwriting to the ...

As a matter of fact, Dirty Diamonds has better songs on it. Steal that car shoud be an instant classic! I really feel this album is head and shoulders above "Dirty Diamonds" and has no real clunker songs unlike DD which has a few. Even "The Eyes of Alice Cooper", which a I think is a *great* album,...

I've created some DVD-Audio discs in order to preserve some stuff only available on vinyl for archival purposes. Rather than a vinyl vs. CD thing... the real differences are in the mastering... and many audiophiles seek out old particular pressings of vinyl because of the improved mastering. In othe...

Similar to many horror movies (House of 1000 Corpses, etc) where there are upbeat old 60s/70s songs played against scenes of horrific violence. Somehow it makes it seem even *more* twisted that way. Last House on The Left I was just imagining how cool the live show will be when they're playing some...

Thematically, the actual sound of the album bares little resemblance to the imagery Alice did this on purpose in order to make it seem even more twisted and strange... upbeat songs directly in contrast to the imagery. Similar to many horror movies (House of 1000 Corpses, etc) where there are upbeat...

Dada has some fantastic lyrics.

I have to say that Constrictor is lacking in the lyric department on the whole.

I learned after the last 3 Star Wars movies that George Lucas is an insane man and he will not get anymore of my money. Thus I didn't waste my time seeing the latest Indiana Jones movie.

I really dig "I Am The Spider" and wouldn't have minded if there was a lot more of this style on the whole album.

It's actually more along the lines of what I expected.

I like it much better than Dirty Diamonds which at the time when it came out I liked better than Eyes. I have since changed my mind on Dirty Diamonds and feel Eyes is the better album now and it stands up on it's own as a good album and I grab it over DD to listen to all the time.. That's my exact ...

I don't hear a song here that could ever be considered a hit single. The album just flows from song to song, to me "Salvation" is my fav. at the moment, followed by "I'm Hungry". Overall, the songs are ok, but nothing grabs me as a standout track just yet, which is rare for me with an Alice album. ...

I wouldn't know, as I have not seen them yet. I'll be sure to post a review once I have. I have never said that Alice is anything less than the Master of showmanship on stage. I do know however that Crue's latest album is far better than ACAS or anything else Alice has released in a long time. It's...

I'm amazed at how a few are so quick to declare this album "terrible".

At least live with it a little while.

And remember... at least Alice puts on the greatest show on earth... unlike Motley Crue who is a notoriously lame live band and I hear Vince is singing every other line again this tour. ;)

The moment I heard the album I knew there were going to be some disappointed people. The majority of the album is very retro sounding while a few are not (Vengeance is Mine, Catch Me If You Can, I Am The Spider, and The One That Got Away). It really sounds to me like an album that had multiple produ...

Did Chuck play all the bass on this album?

If so, he's a MONSTER on this one!
