Re: Dennis Dunaway book reviews
Well you should finish the job, I see a pointless off topic post right above your post. Regardless, it's great that a truthful account of the ACG history has finally been published. All lies and fabrications dispelled. The only one that still hasn't been dispelled is where the name "Alice Cooper" c...

Re: Bigger Picture Group is gone
I knew he had moved to Nashville but didn't know any of the specifics.
Maybe they can get "Straight" to issue it.

Re: Alice reference in movie?
Here's something else I found that I didn't know about. The character Alice Ghostley played in the old TV show Mayberry RFD was Alice Cooper. I'm going to guess this was probably coincidence but it could have been an inside joke as well. She first appeared on the show in season 3 in the episode "The...

Re: Alice reference in movie?
Kinda what I was thinking but was wondering if anyone had any more specific info. Did a cursory search and it seems the November Man is actually a series of books kinda like James Bond. Not sure if this character appears in one of the books or just in the screenplay for the movie though. But like I ...

Alice reference in movie?
We were watching a movie called "November Man" last night on Netflix. It's a spy movie starring Peirce Brosnan. Anyway, one of the characters in the movie was named Alice Fournier. Surely that's not a coincidence. Does anyone have any background on that reference? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h04...

Re: Dennis Dunaway book reviews
I'm waiting on the Cliff Notes version. Actually got my copy this past weekend and read it in one sitting. Again not much new stuff that I hadn't heard before in one version of another. However it did bolster my personal belief, again just a personal belief and in no way am I proclaiming it as fact,...

Re: Dirty DIamonds - 10 years on
These two DD and TEOAC should have been just one album. You could take about 6 songs off each and make one pretty good album. Neither to me were particularly Alice Cooper-ish though.

Re: Does Alice Need a Definitive Autobiography?
From MrD Returns: >I don't really think anything had as much influence in rock or society after AC until hip-hop comes along. Actually, there was punk rock which was the first and last great cultural upheaval after Alice's rise to prominence. It's my opinion that Alice was the link between rock and...

Re: Does Alice Need a Definitive Autobiography?
I'd be more interested in something focusing on the music or the live shows. At this point I could care less about who they influenced or the cultural aspect. Well it kinda goes hand in hand that the music and the shows is what had the impact. What I would be interested in is showing how the music,...

Re: Does Alice Need a Definitive Autobiography?
From Toronto Bob: "I don't see the need. Between the copious interviews, books and a fairly thorough bio pic, most topics have been covered at length and frankly Alice's personal life is i) his own and ii) doesn't seem particularly compelling." I still think there is space for one last book that ti...

Re: Where did Alice go??
Just to be fair to myself I went back a re-listened to a majority of the tracks from Dada, Zipper and Special Forces. Always seeing what a great fan base these albums have I figured that I must be missing something...I wasn't. They're just awful. I use the Dada CD as a coaster to rest my beer on. Al...

Re: Wish Alice Would Do This!
I have several thoughts on this. The thing everyone needs to remember is most of this is business. We don't like to think about music as a business but it is, just like sports, television or anything else. An artist, while hopefully enjoying their craft, is also trying to make a living, sell as man...

Re: Elected in documentary
From mr.barlow: "just be sure to spell it correctly on the pay check!" It may be that his name was listed as Neal Allen Smith, so it might just be a typing error of some kind. That's what I figured. I have to look at how the credits are listed on album but I believe it was Neal A. Smith. Whoever wa...

Elected in documentary
I was watching a documentary called "Citizen Koch" on Netflix last night when about a third of the way into it "Elected" was used as background music. Fit perfectly by the way. I waited to watch the credits and it was listed as "Elected" written by Mike Bruce, Glen Buxton, Alice Cooper, Dennis Dunaw...

Re: Wish Alice Would Do This!
Precisely why I haven't taken the time or expense to go see him the last few times he's been around. The show to me has become stale. Even though I enjoy myself immensely when there it's hard for me to justify tickets, travel, hotels and other expenses to see basically the same show he's been doing ...
