Re: Fall 2021 Tour Setlist

Anyone think Alice is getting some help from background tracks? I saw KISS right before the pandemic broke in early 2020 and it is so obvious that Paul Stanley is singing to tracks most of the time. I saw Judas Priest this week and I looked for it, but I think Rob’s vocals were inconsistent enough ...

Artists get old mellow out and wise up. That's life. What often takes place is that their audience does the same and most people are happy.
Maybe we're afraid of getting old.

Dennis, those are fantastic memories. Thank you.

Everything's Orange?

I recall a single mention of "Everything's Orange" as the title of a very early (The Spiders?) song.

Dennis, if there's any information on that song, I'd appreciate it much. (Maybe one of my fellow Sickthings could win a coloring book!) :)

Thanks

Re: Re-evaluating Alice

Del, agreed that most of us will be fans for life. He never slops his way through a show, which is admirable. It's human nature to find fault at times - I know I'm guilty as charged, but when I take stock of what Alice has to offer, he's not washed up by a long chalk.

Re: Thoughts on Charlie watts

Was looking through Michael's book last night and there is a pic of Neal and Charlie. Charlie was 80 years old. Many of the parents of musicians I admire were born before him and have outlived him to this day. Many Stones fans' lives were begun and completed between his birth and passing. It blows ...

Re: Re-evaluating Alice

Patrick, I wasn't saying the crooner path would have been good nor bad, but a possibility.

MacQueen, I'd like for Alice to leave Detroit myself, but it's not my name on the marquee.

If they'd drop the sound pressure level by 5dB, you could hear what each guitarist was playing.

Re: Re-evaluating Alice

I watched and listened as Alice matured then attempted to regress. He might have become one of the great crooners of our time had he followed the adult contemporary path. We will never know.

Fan since Remote Control. They're doing a show in October at Ludlow Garage (where Alice played the Easy Action show).

Re: hot sauce and colouring books

I didn't intend to come off so bitterly, but, why string people along for decades? Unreleased tracks were unreleased for a reason - they didn't make the grade. The original releases on plain black vinyl are fine. My biggest gripe is that throwing the original group a bone every few years seems cruel...

Not jaded, but we have grown old waiting for him to take the fans, the original band members and the music seriously.

Old Article I Hadn't Seen Before

I was reading an article which was written by Vince Welnick's mother. Vince was The Tubes' pianist. Lots of info on the California and Phoenix music scene in the 1960's. The Alice Cooper Group receives a few mentions, which are salted throughout the piece. Here's the link: https://www.sandiegoreader...

Re: Songs where Alice may have crossed the line

To me, it isn't about a few expletives - I've been known to paint the air dark at times myself. The line-crossing comes in terms of mentioning J-Lo in a song or trying to be Steven Tyler on the live intro to I'm Your Gun. And most definitely being influenced by Bon Jovi in the 80's. Embarrassing thi...

Make That Money would be good live I think. An instrumental jam with a couple of these songs could work too (leading up to, or in place of, the drum solo perhaps).
I'd rather see tap dancing poodles than a drum solo. :D
