I was told that they wanted the cover to have a cleaner look.

Re: “Love, cuts deep as a laser” Ivan Dryer and Alice Cooper
Hi Dennis, Years ago i was reading about Ivan Dryer the creator of the laser light show, he gave an interview on a website where he claimed: “There was one friend with a technical background, Charlie McDanald, who saw some potential and began to work with me as my new partner. So in 1972 we set abo...

Re: Billion Dollar Baby Book Autographed
I’ve seen images of the book, Billion Dollar Baby, by Bob Greene on the internet (hard cover version) signed by all the members of the band. It’s quite obvious by the comments with the autographs that none of the band is really happy with the book; to put it mildly. How did the autographing of the ...

Re: Good to see you again,AC
The stage was awesome! It was beautiful! Nobody was doing stuff like that at the time. No one had a stage that big with the great lighting. Unfortunately nobody consulted the band on its design so there were problems that affected the bands ability to move around. It was the biggest show on earth a...

Re: Good to see you again,AC
Apart from The Lady Is A Tramp the skits were awful. It would have been much better to have had interviews with the band, roadies, Cindy et al in a documentary style setting. It is a travesty to have the No 1 album and tour in America and have this go out with little more than a whimper. Europe was...

Re: Good to see you again,AC
If I may add a follow up to this, was any thought given to releasing only the concert? Or was it not considered that there would be a market for it at the time? It was likely a timing problem. The film company probably wanted people to have to see the film in order to hear the music. The record com...

Re: Good to see you again,AC
Dennis,i was wondering what you thought of the good to see you again movie in hindsight? When I watch this I find the best way to watch is with Alice’s commentary on because there truly is some funny stories to go along with it. The concert footage is of course great. I wish I had recorded the comm...

Re: Alice Cooper in the 70’s Book
Hello Hooray is a good example a hired-in M400 was used. I love the sound of a Mellotron they have a unique sound sort of a poor mans strings but with a charm about it. As you guys know, the Mellotron used tape recordings of strings playing each note. The tapes weren't in loops and so each note onl...

Re: Flying Tigers
Oh, right. I neglected to mention the Japanese band. That's why we changed our name to the Nazz. Plus of course you mentioned it in chapter 2 of your book which is why i keep going back to it for things i forget. It’s great now i also have the audio book, as i speak the book is coming more alive as...

Re: I Hate You
Definitely my favorite track off the album. I love the sound of Neal’s drums and how the bass guitar cuts through the mix (like back in the day). The production is punchy without being slick. Dennis, that’s great to hear that you played rhythm on it as well as including Glen’s SG. Somehow, there wa...

Re: I Hate You
I really dig I Hate You, it’s my second favourite track on the album. I’m a bit biased but Social Debris is my favourite! Thanks. It's especially cool that Neal arranged to have Rick Tedesco play Glen's restored SG on the track. And I played the main guitar part on a white SG like Glen's that belon...

Re: Alice Cooper in the 70’s Book
Am I right in thinking that the choral sound that happens at about 5:11 is a Melotron? Is that the strings? I think that’s real strings, I actually have a real Mellotron as well and I used to think it might be before but I’m pretty sure it’s not. I’m trying to think of a word to describe how the me...

Re: Flying Tigers
There appears to have been a lounge act called "the Spiders" around in the late 60s Arizona/Nevada area. Found a few adverts that couldn't have been our boys. I didn't know about another band called the Spiders, but perhaps they took on the name to help them get gigs after we became the Nazz, which...

Found a Flying Tigers article from Rock Scene at https://evenspotspeaks.blogspot.com/search?q=flying+tigers Thanks for posting. I have this article somewhere. I didn't read all of what you posted but I got a laugh out of the very first thing I did read where Paul Roy said he thought, any resurgence...

Re: Flying Tigers
Wait..there were two Flying Tigers! Made me wonder how many performing artists called Alice Cooper were out there in the late 60's. Coulda led to some hilarious booking mix up's. But I guess that was the whole point of the name anyway. Dennis, thanks again for doing this for the fans. Much apprecia...

Re: Flying Tigers
I was in the hospital in maybe 1979 or 1980. My aunt brought me a music magazine and there was an article about the Flying Tigers inside. I was shocked that you and Neal had much shorter hair. Neal said something to the effect that you guys had recorded the world's first platinum tapes. :D Anyway, ...

Re: Flying Tigers
Have a live recording of Flying Tigers at Barnaby’s in Bridgeport Conn, 1979. Most of the songs are untitled but a few listed are “Sweet Dancer”, “Dirty Minds”, “Don’t Let Go”, “Love Is A Killer” and “Do You Wanna Know” which was my favorite song written by Neal that appeared on Michael’s ’83 solo....
